It's coming March 7, a two-disc set:
The first disc will have talks with the cast, a making-of feature and interactive games.
The second disc will have extra scenes from the films, an interview with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, four more challenges, a game demo, trading cards, a Hogwarts timeline and six featurettes covering the Tri-Wizard tasks, the Yule Ball, Voldermort and Harry’s Tri-Wizard competitors.
I guess I know what's going in my son's Easter basket, provided I can wait that long!

Can you put it in my Easter Basket too?
Since I couldn't post and I watched the movie after the old UBB forums kicked the bucket, I wasn't able to place my review there.
I know, I know....This isn't a Review Thread. I'll get around to creating a review when I have more time to post something but needless to say, watching it ONE time wasn't enough for me. I can't wait for the DVD and I'm very happy that we don't have to wait till next fall or something.

I watched it a couple of days ago and I had forgotten how dark and essentially mean spirited it was. Fantastic film, but I didn't realise what it was like when I saw it in the cinema.

I haven't bought it yet. Two viewings was satisfying enough. The first time to see it, the second time to analyze the film on its own and as an adaptation.

I guess that I *should* pick it up mainly because I began collecting the movies & I hate to have an unfinished collection.I was disappointed with the GOF movie though, because it cut out so much of the book that was important! Including the ending argument btw DD & Fudge in the hospital wing over Voldemort's return.

I've decided to believe that the films are telling their own - very similar - story and leave at that. Feeding the disappointment accomplishes nothing. It's best to take a new perspective. If they did HP as a musical, we'd fully expect a different take and vast condensing of the story to suit the medium.
Instead of expecting the "book put to film" I try to appreciate the director's take on the story line. Cuaron infused a marvelous sense of wonder into his and he really tested the elasticity of Rowling's world. She borrows from all manner of magical concepts which makes her conceit both very inspiring in its creativity and also very accommodating to other people's visions.
And that's the real test of a story: that it can live and grow outside of the author's imagination.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I went to see the Lion King broadway play after seeing the movie & it was different, but that doesnt mean it was BAD (actually, it was spectacular!) so I guess that the same could be said for HP.

I just got the DVD this weekend. I liked the prisoner of azkaban better but it's still pretty good.
