Just noticed two awesome upcoming 80's DVD releases from Anchor Bay:

Anyone else remember these cult 80's flicks?
I don't remember those, but I already own Red Dawn, Pump up the Volume, Risky Business, The Golden Child, 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop, The Untouchables, The Great Outdoors, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Mad Max, Thelma and Louise, Coming to America, Trading Places, Willow, The Princess Bride, and a few others. I am obviously a child of the eighty's, so it brings back good memories watching these movies.

GREAT LIST!!!
If you like Red Dawn you''ll dig Class Of '84, but with that list I don't know how much you would dig Vice Squad (it's kind of intense and deals with the LA underworld) but ya never know!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and the Great Outdoors are so good.
What about Uncle Buck?! Anyone like that one? I think it's one of the best, most underrated, John Candy movies ever!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes John Candy was the best in that movie.
My friend's mom, who I used to carpool with, had a car just like his in the movie and when she would pick us up from school it would backfire too! That scene where everyone hit the deck is forever etched in my brain, hahaha.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and the Great Outdoors are so good.

John Candy was just pure comic genius. Every time I watch one of his movies, it makes me sad that he died so young. He could've entertained us for decades. Such a shame.

Canadian Bacon is quite possibly one of the best movies ever made.

I totally agree. My best friend from childhood was his God-daughter. Do you remember SCTV, the sketch comedy show from the 70s? He and my friend's Uncle Joe Flaherty were hilarious on it.
