Out of these Metallica albums...Which one ranks as your favorite, you music Maniacs?
That's really not nice of you to make me pick just one. :romy:
I'm going to have to go with Justice, but it's equal to, or tied with Master, Kill 'em All, and Lightning for my favorite, with the Black album right behind those. The rest of them... well.... I'd probably listen to them if someone gave them to me, but then again, I have plenty of other stuff to listen to, so I'd get around to them if I got tired of Irish drinking songs, or baby symphony music.

Hehe... get tired of Irish drinking songs and you'll get.... an Irish drinking song! Whiskey in the Jar, baby!
Meh. Metallica covering WITJ was the beginning of the end for me. I could almost forgive the S & M tour, because I like the symphony, not because it was good (which it wasn't), but WITJ was too much.

I'm not calling WITJ the best thing they ever did. Just pointing out that listening to Irish drinking songs until you're fed up with them enough to listen to later Metallica is just going to net you yet another Irish drinking song.

I lost interest in Metallica when I heard a song on their Black album with the lyrics "no more crap rolls out your mouth again"
If you won't say shit, then you're not hardcore speed metal anymore. :Goodbye:
Sometimes you just need to switch up the lyrics. It's like writing a story- how many times can you say "see Spot run" before it becomes tiresome. Eventually you will get "envison Spot bounding". I can't get upset over a word here and there. Good point sick. Too bad witj is such a weak ass drinking song, though.

Justice is by far my favorite. But Lightning and the Black album are neck and neck for 2nd favorite. I like the first half of Puppets, but after Disposable Heroes, I'm not really feeling the rest. Kill 'em All...eh, I hated James' voice on that album. A few really good songs and some that I just can't stand because his voice was too grating. I really love Load a lot because it's actually the album that got me into them in the first place. Reload is okay, not the best, but I still listen to it occassionally. I like the S&M album, kind of wish it hadn't been a live recording though. Garage, Inc. is passable, but after all it is just a bunch of covers.
St. Anger...UGH. What the hell. I hate just about everything about it.

I can't beleive I almost missed this thread.
Close tie for me between Garage Days and Justice.
I've got a 10 disk (burned) Metallica A-Z Anthology I made a few years ago. Every published song alphebetized (prior to St. Anger) makes for a very interesting listening experience.
