I recently got back into watching Adult Swim, having not been able to due to work, and I'm not sure how I feel about some of the newer shows. I miss SeaLab and Brak and Home Movies. What're other peoples favs?

I love Stroker & Hoop. Boondocks is good, along with the reruns of Futurama/Family Guy/American Dad. I definitely don't go for all that Japanime stuff(Bebop/Zatch Bell/DBZ/Yugigo/TicTacToe/whatever the hell). And it finally looks like they are going to start running new episodes of JLU on Saturdays again! :D

Of the new shows, Stroker & Hoop is decent. Perfect Hair is unwatchable and 12 oz. Mouse is just bad. 12 oz. is lazy. ..and I'm not just talking about the crude drawings. The writers seem to think that if the lines are red in a deadpan, sarcastic, world-weary tone that we'll mistake it for clever.

I eagerly await the return of Venture Bros. And the re-runs of Family Guy and Futurama have not worn out their welcome.

Did anyone see that Adult Swim will be starting at 10:30 instead of 11:00 on
March 28. I think within a year that we will hear rumors of an adult swim channel. Some may say that they would not have enough content but with all the anime, and shows no longer on (Sea Lab, Oblongs) they would have plenty. Also they could show old movies that us adults remember back in the day (G.I Joe movie, He-Man). Or maybe I'm just a dreamer

My all time fav is Sea Lab (with Capt Murphy). Boondocks, Home Movies, ATHF

My God, if there was an Adult Swim channel I'd never leave the house!

I'm glad they are expanding it. Now we need to get new episodes of Venture Bros. and Robot Chicken. I seem to recall seeing the new show Minoriteam and it looks like it might be pretty good.

If you're big fans of Robot Chicken's take on Star Wars Episode III, then this is definitely good news to learn!

From SciFi.com-

Robot Spoofs Star Wars

Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, creators of Cartoon Network's Robot Chicken, will develop Robot Chicken: Star Wars, a 30-minute stop-motion animation special directed by Green for the network's Adult Swim programming block, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The special spoofs key scenes and characters from the Star Wars universe, including creator George Lucas, who will voice the animated version of himself. The special was made in collaboration with Lucasfilm.

Robot Chicken: Star Wars will also feature Mark Hamill as the voice of Luke Skywalker in one sketch, as well as a voice cast that includes Conan O'Brien, Seth MacFarlane, Robert Smigel, Malcolm McDowell, Hulk Hogan, James Van Der Beek, Donald Faison, Abraham Benrubi, Breckin Meyer and Joey Fatone. The special will premiere at 10 p.m. June 17 on Adult Swim.

OK

What in the world is going on with these people?
It's been MONTHS since I've seen any new episodes from any of my favorite
shows: Venture Bros., Harvey Birdman, Metalocalypse, Squidbillies, etc.

I know and understand it takes time to write, produce and develop these episodes.
But I'll be darned if I can find any info on when the new seasons start up for any
of these shows. Save for the odd Robot Chicken ep (thankfully), the shows that
drew me to their programming in the first place seemed to have gone AWOL.

Then, I read about DaForce's report that they will be a no-show at the Comic Con?
Are you serious? Are they like, dying off or something? What's the deal?

:headscratch:

See, if you actually read my Venture Bros. thread....you'd see on page 5 (http://www.mania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1489&page=5) that the new season doesn't start until 2008. They've also got funding for season 4 already put aside as well.

There are still going to be panels at Comic Con (Metalocalypse even has action figures on sale there) from the different series, but I think with the stupid Aqua Teen Hunger Force idiocy that happened in Boston (Thanks, you dumb-ass Bostonians) that AS doesn't have the money it once did. Honestly, at one point I was hearing rumors of AS getting their own channel, and then the 'terror-alert' of the ATHF signs ended up costing them over a million bucks in damages.

Thanks Daf. The history does put things in perspective.
And to add to that, I just caught this at their site.

Guess they won't be singing CumBaYa anytime soon. (http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a25c392138c678401138d9a9fe50011)

Note: When I saw Unknown Hinson (the voice if Squidbillies's Early),
he said the new Squidbillies season would start in a few months.
So there's that at least.

AS will probably have a booth at Wizard World in Chicago next month. It makes sense since AS and Cartoon Network are both based in Atlanta, which isn't quite as far away as San Diego.

It looks like that's where The Dark Knight is going to be too.

Unfortunately.

I went over to DragonCon's site (Atlanta), and am surprised there are no scheduled
AS appearances there, unless there's a track I'm missing. :OhWell:

Far from dying. They just added Friday. They lost the 10:30 slot, so its now 11-2:30 and 2:30 to 6 for encores. No word on what exactly will air on fridays, but they got a Family guy marathon kicking it off.
