No one has started a thread yet? Hmph.

So...Samwise the brave has a junkie sister, Kim is looming on the horizon, Walt is dead, Logan's a weenie, Edgar cracks me up, and you can't trust women in the same room with a man she hates.

Did I miss anything?

I was all excited to see Patrick Bauchau as the guy giving instructions to the terrorists. He usually plays a good guy and here he was aiding and abetting and doing a teenage girl (who isn't what she seems, I'll bet!!). Then the girl drops him!

Do they have to bring Kim back??? She gets on my last nerve.

And what is it with the hobbits and drugs? Charlie, the drugged out hobbit on "Lost" and Sam with a druggie sister. Middle Earth must have that effect on the small people.

I liked this episode a lot. It was done very well...but this season is starting to feel like a greatest hits album. We've seen the "woman who has been severely wronged sneaks a gun past several agents to shoot an important bad guy right before they can give vital information" scene before. I saw it coming from a mile away, and I'm fairly surprised that Jack et al were too inept to stop it.

Yeah, I was wondering why they weren't keeping a closer eye on the girl. After all the twists and turns Jack has seen, I was expecting her to be in cahoots with the bad guy. They didn't even frisk her or anything! Stupid!

I liked the episode overall, though, and my biggest question now is: was the guy with Lin's sister another junkie, or was he after something bigger? It looked to me like he not only grabbed Lin's cash, he grabbed a security ID or something similar.

Hmmm...I thought it was just a credit card, but I didn't really get a great look at it though.

I'm getting soooo tired of the important bad guys being killed off by some emotional angry twit. I can recall AT LEAST 3 times in the past seasons, 4 including this one, where that's happened.

Season 1: Details are a little foggy, but I think Jamie's mom killed Ira Gaines or some other important witness, in anger over her daughter's death.

A girl who was dating one of the Drazens (Victor's son or nephew I think) agrees to help CTU in getting him, but before the team can move in, she stabs him with a letter opener.

S2: Steven Saunders shot and killed by...forget who, but another twit who had cause to hate him. And as per usual, shot just before completing something important that CTU needed.

But I guess realistically you can't just ask life to give you variety.

The only defense I can offer, is Jack being thrown off his game by her age and her injuries. Thinking of the daughter who thinks he is dead and wondering how she is. Thinking of his little girl at that age. A brief lapse.

Good call. I was thinking that too.
She had to have been reminding him of his own daughter right then.

The only thing that irks me is the fact that Jack continues to help
when he could've gone dark after smoking out the mole in the president's
administration. Jack, for the first time, seems VERY vulnerable.
And I think Jack senses that too at every turn.
I'm sure he'd prefer to go underground, than get caught and thrown
into a Chinese prison system. :(

Oh, did anyone see John McCain? He was in the "box" at the upper left, handing Audrey papers of some sort. I read about his cameo, but thought it would be bigger.

That was this episode? I'll have to download and rewatch.

I thought that guy looked kinda like John McCain--it was really him? Freaky!

Is he a fan of the show? That's kinda funny, 'cause during the whole torture debate he was always saying that it doesn't get the information you want, like it does in Hollywood. Go figure. :D

Yeah, he's a fan from what I've read. Man, who couldn't be!
