Hagar, Peters Confirmed for AVP 2

Back in October Superhero Hype posted a brief report that Kristen Hagar, a relative newcomer, was cast in Alien vs. Predator 2, creating some discussion as to who exactly she was, and which role she had landed. I can now confirm, through my own independent sources, that Hagar will indeed play one of the leading roles, a character named Jesse (as we had speculated in our own report on the heels of SHH).

To this point Hagar has made her way working in television, starring in various mini-series and made-for-television movies. She will be making her big screen debut next year in the Bob Dylan biographic I'm Not There, opposite Cate Blanchette, Adrien Brody, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, Julianne Moore, and Batman himself, Christian Bale.

Also confirmed is the equally young and unknown Meshach Peters, who is on as Curtis, a non-lead character.

Peters, a native of Ontario, Canada, can be seen playing a small role in the Ben Stiller comedy, Night at the Museum, which opened in theatres December 22nd. He can also be seen playing Kevin in the science-fiction series Eureka, and next year in the straight-to-video release The Sandlot 3.

Visit our Alien vs. Predator 2 section for an updated list of cast and crew.

If this bombs I hope it bombs so bad, LionsGate buy the rights
from fox so they can make the franchise the way it should be.

yes and after they fix AvP2, they can fix Resident Evil too.

Just my 2 cents. when I saw that they were making the first AvP I thought to myself that, "this is gonna bomb like Nsync record in a Punk store"

But I caught it on HBO or something on one of those days you are just to lazy to change the channel and to my surprise it was an ok movie, but seeing that movie I just don't see where they could go with a sequel and not do the same story, unless they are planning on having another temple under a city and the aliens escaping and the predator chasing them down.

Well you know me and ALIENs. I'm telling you ... this is the perfect opportunity to do a PRE - A L I E N set up that explains how the company got the idea that
there was something on LV426 worth checking out. All other priorities rescinded. I'm thinking maybe a Sigourney cameo to tie it up nicely and put the franchise to bed. N:popcorn:

I have a easier suggestion," MAKE ANOTHER ALIEN MOVIE. JUST PLAIN OLD ALIEN MOVIE, NO PREDATORS, NO PG-13 RATING, JUST.... ALIEN!"
And with that said...see you peeps later.

well among the things that bothered me about AvP was... err.. LOCATION.
1)the Predators would never be attracted to the north pole because of the cold.
after that:
2) they killed Bishop, err whats his name? Weyland. stupid.
then:
3) the human characters were more cardboard than my last Dominos Pizza.

setting the movie inside an ancient temple was an ok setup, the problem was that NEVER ONCE IN THE HISTORY OF EITHER SERIES was an "Indiana Jones" plot even considered. (not that it was a bad idea.... but setting the movie in a JUNGLE like Peru would have made it more beleivable.)

I have the same high hopes for AVP2 that I did with Ghost Rider... GR suprised me, it was mediocre (not great) and hopefully going into AvP2 with extremly low expectations will help boost my reviews if its only semi-good.

If Stan Winston ,was involved in the first one.
remember his company created Aliens and Predator
not these two guys that use work for him.
that have there own small company.
I believe Alien Vs Predator; would have been not made
he has alot say so and clout in hollywood.
I would said no" this script sucks.
Youre not going to! use my trademark....... characters in crap! gore, fest!

Stan Winston may have built the creatures and designed the Predators (H.R. Geiger designed the Alien), but he has no investment in the rights of them. Those are owned wholly by 20th Century Fox.

I wish Fox took better care of their franchises. These films were individually successful as "R" rated films. Why do a PG-13 sequel? Although, I think a good film can be done inside of a PG-13 rating if they actually tied their films into the respected franchises that spawned them.

I agree. This was the stupidest thing in the movie, IMO (and there was a lot of stupid in AvP). Killing him made no sense and IMO creates major issues for any sequels/prequels to the Alien films. I really wanted a good Weyland origin movie and now we aren't going to get that.... unless everyone pretends that AvP never existed - which is fine by me really.

Can we all just pretend that the movie was never made? Can we?

meh, considering he's been killed off so many times prior to this suck ass flick, and I threw all continuity out the window the moment the Predators showed up in Antartica, (actually whitin the first 5 minutes when the humans showed up in the snow) it wasnt the stupidest thing, the location in the snow bothered me the absolute most. It throws everything we knew about the Predators out the window within the first 20 minutes... Aliens = cold no biggie, kinda cool too.
Predators <> cold, that goes against what little we were told about them.
Predator/Alien hybrid ... yes I KNOW this was done in the comics AND in the video game too... but ending the movie with an Alien/Predator hybrid was kinda anti-climatic because it was expected... it was so boring and trite it was predictable, I felt that if they were going to make baby predaliens... do it earlier in the movie because its SO expected, theres absolutely no shock left to this anymore so dont try ending it with a rediculous stupid cliffhanger that more than likely wont even be resolved or even addressed in AvP2 at all. dumb.

and you're right, theres a lot stupid about this flick.
