CNN story (http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/09/bush.terror/index.html)

Bush grandstanding? Real progress in the War on Terror? What are your thoughts?

Grandstanding? Undoubtedly.

This reminds me of the TheTruth.com ad that's out there now,
http://www.thetruth.com/index.cfm?Found=TV_Samaritan

Big Tobacco donated approx. $125,000 worth of food (Kraft foods) to charity and then spent $21,000,000 telling people about it.

Sorry, but, without contacting LA leadership at any time between the alleged foiling of the alleged plot and the present as well as waiting until the president was repeatedly publicly lambasted during a funeral, this sets off my bullshit sensor loud and clear.

What, you don't feel safer? In four years, you'll hear about how they caught a serial litterer with their warrantless wiretapping, and you'll feel much safer.

I heard that the Secret Service once shot a dog before it could pee on the White House fence.

That was a close one.

'They' almost won that day.

Every time a dog pees on the White House lawn, the terrorists win.

WHOOOPP WHOOOOOPPP WHOOOOPP
Bullshit Sensor OVERLOAD!

I don't know if I should be dumbfounded by how stupidly obvious this administration is when they play the media, or if I should be scared that a really big chunk of our country actually allows themselves to be maniupulated by this kind of crap.

Did they really discover a plot to blow up a building? I think Yes. What's freaky is that they use this as a chance to sell their agenda.

Every thing is ok, the Prez just got a Lil confused. He just got finished watching the "24" marathon and took the disclaimer at the beginning"these events happen in real time" too seriously. On a side note, word is he is afraid to debate with senator Palmer.

Not necessarily. You don't want to alert whoever was involved in the plot for fear they will go underground. For all we know, capturing those involved in the plot is what led us to catching Khalid Sheik Mohammad in Pakistan.

Is he grandstanding? Of course he is. It's what he does best. Is he releasing this info. as a reaction to his sucky image? More than likely.

But, that doesn't mean the information is false.
