I have a lot of issues with this episode, for one can we please get back to the story. Humanity is on the run from the Cylons and their very survival is at stake. I dont want interpersonal stories anymore, the characters are established.

Two, can we please stop with the stock FX footage ala TOS.

How about the Pegasus, ya it’s been dropped completely for the last few episodes, not even an establishing shot to confirm that it even still exists.

And talk about predictable, I saw the use of the old Sharon body a mile away and the death of Billy was getting to be obvious towards the end.

NOTHING wrong with character driven eps. And that's the thing about this show. We can sit back and wait. For there will be action oriented eps again.

That's the beauty of this show, it offers alot. But it's rewarding to the patient.

That may be a disadvantage in a day where people are impatient and want everything now now NOW, but you know? Screw 'em. Galactica is what it is. And I for one love it.

I have to agree with Scorpiuscat. This episode was weak, and it's following a couple sub-par episodes IMO. Thankfully, next week looks kick ass. John Heard is an excellent actor, and the plot looks intriguing.

However, this episode left a lot to be desired. It would have been interesting to see Apollo having an affair with the Colonel's wife, but that didn't happen. I'm also sad to see Billy go, as he was one of the genuine characters on the show. However, now that he's dead, I can't help but think he's a Cylon and will reappear in the future. I guess it's the conspiracy nut in me.

"Billy, don't be a hero, don't be a fool with your liiiiiiiiife!"

Sucker.

"It would have been interesting to see Apollo having an affair with the Colonel's wife"? More like, it would have been nauseating.... I mean, they're making his character a little darker, but he has to have some personal integrity left and making it with that bitch would have leached the rest of it from him.

Not the best episode of the season, but it's interesting in that it sets Roslin up to be completely alone, with no real personal friends ... except maybe Adama, and she can't really trust him. How long before she goes batshit crazy? And if she does, will that undermine her eventual discovery/revelation about Baltar and Six?

I'm hoping next week brings us back to the main event: Cylon fights and the Pegasus problem.

. . . making it with that bitch would have leached the rest of [Apollo's personal integrity] from him.

That's not all she would have "leached" from him! HAY-OOH! :smirk: :D

Not to mention a bad case of Space Herpes.
And yes, if the previews are to be believed (which I never do) the Pegasus situation seems to come to a head next ep. And did anyone else notice Apollo being called "Major" in the previews?

I did notice the promotion when they ran the previews. Makes sense, I guess.

Not a bad episode. Not a great episode. Dana Delaney was kind of wasted, unfortunately.

The problem with the writers not maintaining the different plot threads is evident again though. This episode was essentionally a hostage drama. So why wasn't the group that took the hostages the "peace" movement that was introduced several episodes ago? Keep up that plot line for a little, instead of letting it lay dormant for so long that people forget about it and have to be reminded in the pre-show "previously on BSG".

As for Billy going, I'm not that heartbroken. He really wasn't on the show all that much anymore... and his name was Billy for crying out loud. What was he, 11?

He'll be Number 11, mark my words. :D

A Cylon Billy, eh? .... hhhmmm, doesn't exactly send any chills down my spine. ...my non-red-glowing, human spine.

I love this show but this episode went nowhere. Also I've noticed two character situations that make no sense, as if there's missing episodes.

1) Lee being the old "passive" Lee when he has the terrorist at gunpoint leaving the bathroom. just two episodes ago he had cold bloodily shot and killed Bill Duke and seemed like he had really turned a corner on what he was willing to do in regards to the human element making the Cylon's mission easier. All hostage situations (on TV) end in a raid and a shoot out so it would have been much more interesting if Lee had shot the guy knowing it would end badly anyway and then have all hell break loose.

2) They hinted in the last episode that Lee and Anastasia were getting cozy from training together and all of a sudden there's this big love triangle w/Billy. WTF. Again out of nowhere and they never addressed Lee and Starbuck reconciling their feelings many episodes back.

The way Starbuck is always at the head of everything is getting old as even short manned the military would still have specialists for such situations. She was absolutely hopeless. She's a great pilot, but there's a time when the marines have gotta do their thing and you get out of the way.

2) The feuding between Starbuck and Kat in the scar episode was from out of nowhere. There was no build up in previous ep's to show that was coming.

It really feels like episodes are missing or they're being shown out of sequence from a writing perspective. I also agree that we need to get back to the central issue of the Cylons, Pegasus and remember the nuke that Baltar has given to the "peace" movement. I do remember there were cylons in this show other then Sharon. A little less character fluff and more meat.
