Topic 4 - Heroes
I just got to say it's neat to have a ensemble cast which for the most part do not or at least for the time being do not know one another but llke another fave show of mine Lost we are learning that some of the characters are linked with others. Ity just makes me wonder what Season 2 will be like. Also if that was not neat enough they had cameos of what some people might state are heroes/idols of alot of people George "Sulu" Takaei and Sthan "Mr. Marvel" Lee? Who will cameo next on the show ???

I'd say Christopher Reeve if he weren't dead. I guess given that, and being given the similar "realistic" slant to the show, Bruce Willis. Unbreakable and Heroes are really similar in concept, so seeing him show up would be awesome. I'm sure copyrights and such wouldn't allow it, but it would be cool.

i would like to see m. night shamalon (spelling sorry) in a cameo, i think that could tie in very nicley as the deceased professors nephew and he could have an ability and sylar "takes" it.

I don't understand all the fuss over Heroes. It seems like an X-Men ripoff with poor writing and acting to me.

I pretty much accept everyone's right to hate anything as long as they're informed haters as in they've experienced a good portion of it and determined they didn't like it. It's fine, everyone doesn't have to love something. However, hating something because you've seen 12 seconds of the ads and made a general opinion or hating it just because everyone likes it and only wanting to be contrary to popular opinion are two of the dumbest reason to to dislike something.

X-Men ripoff yes, but with excellent writing. Acting varies from the mediocre (Peter) to the superb (Claire)

Hate all you want, but have the facts first. Don't pull a fundamentalist on us.

If they had Bruce Willis' character from Unbreakable somehow join this show it would be awesome! :) A fanboy's wet-dream. It would never happen though.

I always thought X-Men had suck-ass writing. I tried picking it up during the famed Claremont run, but thought it was really poor. I found much of the drama to be forced and the "relevant social issues" were dealt with in only the most superficial of ways.
Honestly, though, I find much of the character conflict in the Marvel universe to be fabricated, and (getting OT) that seemed to carry over to the Spidey movies, too. I know there's the Harry/Spidey/Peter conflict, but really...why? Harry hated it Dad...until he died and then suddenly, he's got to avenge his death?! Huh? Wasn't Norman in at least some Goblin Garb when Spidey brought him back to the house? Why take him there, anyway? I never figured any of that out other than it was a way to artifically create more conflict for Peter.
