Comes out on Tuesday, and I'm right there with you. I've had 'em downloaded forever, but kept putting it off and putting it off, and now the show is back on in a week!

You know, I'm not sure I'll watch this season as it airs. It is so much more fun watching ten in a row on a Saturday! :D I hve heard so many good things about season 5, it stars this years Best Actor for crying out loud. It's got to rock.

Nooo! You have to watch as it airs! We're apparently the only two who like the show, dude! :D

Though I can't promise I'll be caught up by Tuesday, but I'll have one hell of a time trying.

Alright, for you, I'll suffer through watching season 5 sometime this week. :D
People don't know what they're missing, or they're just not speaking up. Cuz this is the best show of its kind on TV, maybe even just the best show.

Definitely the best cop show on TV, arguably the best show period. I've gone through the first six episodes in two days, and #6 was just phenomenal. Forrest Whitaker is absolutely chilling. Honest to God, I've had chills go down my spine at least three times this year because of him.

And it's been so long, I think I'm gonna go through Season 4 again after I get done with this. All the Anthony Anderson goodness is a bit hazy in my mind.

Go rent the damn DVD, and the rest of you just start at season 1. If you aren't watching, you really don't know what you're missing.

And besides that, an event from the pilot is playing a tremendous role in season five anyway....

God...season five might be the best yet. Whitaker is remarkable.

How far along are you?

Dude, I won't be able to rent it until this weekend, so no spoilers! I will watch the entire season over Sat-Sun though, and then watch Season 6/episode 1 on VHS. I imagine you are in TV heaven right now?

Absolutely. I'm about to watch the finale, and if I can squeeze it in on my off days this week, I'm gonna go back and brush up on Season 4.

But really, you are in for SUCH a treat with Whitaker, not to mention CCH, Chiklis, Cathy Cahlin Ryan, and Lem. For a show that's this consistantly good as an ensemble of actors, they've really, REALLY stepped up this year.

Yeah, well let me just say that I went to Blockbuster this weekend with great anticipation of renting season 5...to my great dismay, they don't even have season 4 yet! I swear that my library has at least ten times the amount of movies as my Blockbuster, and the one that I drove 5 miles out of my way to see if THEY had it. Neither did. My library has the first four seasons. I am praying someone donates season 5 and QUICK, or I am going to be forced to save and buy it. There aren't many word to describe how angry I was dude...

Try requesting it from the library. They probably monitor usage of the other seasons, but it always helps to let them know directly that you'd like to see the next season. I think I will be hitting "The Shield" sometime this summer, after I get through all of Buffy (just finished season 4) and West Wing (2/3rds through 1st season).

WOW!!! "Recoil" was all kinds of awesome! The whole episode I was marvelling at Aceveda's slimey ways. Just kept thinking "what could you expect from a cop who'd get down on his knees like he did that time." And then someone brings a PHOTO!!! Who took that?! There were only two guys in the room and the other guy couldn't even watch. Who the heck brought the telephoto zoom lense? Aceveda hunted those guys down and killed them.

Oh. My. God.

AND- the Armenian's daughter knows about the money train. She is gonna kill Vic. And Ronnie. And eventually: Shane. Love the look on his face when he realized what he just did. Diro is cold-hearted and desperate. She'll butcher anyone to solidify her power base. That woman is gonna "rain down a sh*t storm like you have never seen."

Then you throw in the mind job that just got played on Dutch. And Tina and the new guy. The Barn is a very tense place to be these days.
