Good news for those members of the message board who live in the NYC area.

Film Forum on Houston Street will be running a James Bond Review in late April.

The films of Connery and Moore (except Moonraker), as well as Craig and Lazenby. (no Dalton) on the big screen.

So, lets go NYC Bond fans.. tiny theaters, the best popcorn in the city and Bond on the big screen. See you there.

PS: There are also some other 60's era Bond knock-offs playing.

I need to make a correction... When I saw Casino Royale listed, I assumed it was the recent Craig film... but it is the Sellers/Niven/Allen film. Foolish me.

Anyway... at the very least, I hope to catch Goldfinger the first weekend and HAVE to see From Russia With Love on the big screen.

The beginning of the Bond-a-thon at Film Forum is drawing near. It starts with Goldfinger on the 27th and 28th. I am trying to get my best friend into the idea of going on the 28th. He hasn't seen these movies since childhood and believes that they are poorly edited, poorly acted, cheesey productions.

It is my mission to prove to him that he is wrong and that he needs to see these movies again with a more adult eye.

I realized that FRWL coincides with my anniversary... but I think I can convince my girlfriend to go on Friday, the 4th.

If anyone is going on these dates, let me know. It would be cool to meet some of the faces behind the forum.

Cooper, Friday the 4th is my birthday, and FRWL is my favorite Bond movie, so I'm totally there.

The boards have been quiet lately. ....too quiet.

Looking forward to enjoying Mr. Connery with a theater-ful of Bond fans tomorrow night.

Yes it was! ;) Happy Birthday Kara!

Coop, great to meet ya! If you plan to hit any more movies, maybe we can plan to hang for a bit afterwards. I'm definitely going back for OHMSS, maybe more. (Or Moore)

It was great to meet you guys! Sorry I couldn't hang out after the movie.

My friend (who is not a fan of the early Bond films...I think he saw them too young and didn't appreciate them) enjoyed it, but it would have been nice to dissect the film with you guys.

Not only was the film great but the trailer for the Ipcress File with Michael Caine, that declared the movie "smarter than Bond" was fun to see.

And a sing-a-long of the theme should now be standard for all future Bond films.

Definitely!! If I throw a Bond party, Bond karoke is a must!

Cooper, like I mentioned, I'm definitely planning to head back for at least one more. If you can go on a day when you have time, lets plan tio hang afterwards for a drink and some good Bond chat.

Deb, you game?

Unfortunately, I can't attend any more of the showings. My teacher schedule prevents any weekday 7pm shows (gotta be close to bed by 10).

I wouldn't have minded seeing OHMSS this Saturday but my family will be partaking in Mother's Day dinner festivities on the island.

I really would have liked to have seen just one more. The only other choice is this Friday but I reallllllly don't want to pay to see You Only Live Twice.

I'm just finding out I might have a family obligation this Sat too. Blagh!

Well I would definitely like to catch at least one more. Maybe I'll even slum and see AVTAK, since it's the only one (Octo***** to present) that I never saw on the big screen.
