View Full Version : Borg Assimilation vs. Cylon Hacking
If the Borg and Cylons ever battled, both would try to use their strengths against the other. The Borg would try to assimilate Cylons, and the Cylons would try to hack into the Borg Collective hive mind. Who would win?

technically the Borg cant assimilate a human Cylon, since they are machines already...although it would be a battle royal to buy pay-per-view tickets for.. thats for damn sure.
perhaps theres a connection between the two species? maybe the Borg are the decendants of the Cylons and this is what happened when they evolved?

Wouldn't mind seeing 6 and 9 going at it. Hmmm wait a minute! Ya think Ron Moore was thinkin' that too? Choosing the numbers 6 and 9 for his hot cyborg babes coincidence? I think not.

damn you're right it was 7 of 9! doh!! not much of a Voyager fan ooops.
I was um using her last name, yah that's it.
I say that if Cylons can mate with humans, then the Borg could assimilate them.

A little bot of both I think.
The battle would be fairly evenly matched and I think the Borg Queen would show up to negotiate a truce and an agreement to meld the 2 species together for mutual benefit. Confident all the while in her arrogance that she had duped them according to her own designs.
The Cylons however, would readily accept this truce preciscely because of the assimilation technology they would gain access to. Remember, the Borg collective conciousness is not absolute. Refer to the finale of Season 6 and opening of Season 7 "Unimatrix Zero" Thousands of Borg are able to enter a realm of conciousness while regenerating where their individuality is regained. The capabilities of the Cylons to "hack" would give them instant autonomy in this realm.

Not true at all. The Borg assimilate everything man or machine. Remember the opening phrase when we met them in TNG
"We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own"
It's not their fault they just don't often encounter speicies with technology better than their own.
The next logical question is how the folks on battlestar hook up with the Federation to exploit Species 8472 to wipe all the robots out.......

Huh? What? I got some of that post, but other sections just read like an electronic buzzing noise. You must have been talking about that Voyager show in those parts. :D
