According to several spoiler sites, the flashbacks this year of the 5 greatest moments in Charlie's life.

I'm guessing him dying isn't one of his top 5 so we won't be seeing that in this episode.

That was definitely a good episode, but why were they so convinced that the underwater lab was flooded? It wasn't really a surprise that it was working and had occupants.

Other than that, it was a great episode. Charlie's list was a good flashback motivator. I liked the one where he chased off the mugger.

It looks like we have all the pieces in place for a slam-bang, two-hour finale next week. :D

Yeah, the wife is too pregnant to be watching the Hobbit go down and I'm right there with her. But of course, it's 10 till 11 and Charlie still ain't wet, so I know we're not getting any drownage.

But who are the Amazon Women in the Moon pool?

I dunno, but I was beginning to think I was wrong and Charlie was not gonna survive, and then Des chimed in, and I thought that ONE of them was gonna buy it. For some reason, I simply accepted that Hydra was flooded (because Ben always tells the truth, I know), and someone would sacrifice himself to turn off the jammer.
So...will Charlie drown because of events that happen in the finale?

I didn't think the station was flooded; I assumed that flipping the yellow switch would destroy the station, thus making it impossible for Charlie to escape before drowning. So that could still happen.

Fantastic episode--the flashback structure worked really well, and I like how Charlie's character has developed, so I'm glad he didn't buy it in this episode. They kept me guessing with Desmond offering to go in his place, so the twist at the end was even more satisfying. I can't wait for the finale. I think this last half of the season is the best yet.

From the previews for the finale, Charlie is tied up and being slapped. Desmond brandishes a shotgun in a darkened room. He might go after him after he wakes up from his oar nap.

well it was extremely stupid for Charlie to burst out of the air bubble pool yelling and screaming "I'm ALIVE I'm ALIVE!!!" when he had just swam past a station where all the OUTSIDE lights were still on... it was obvious on first appearance the station WASNT flooded and was still in use.
why do people call it the Hydra station? they called it The Looking Glass Station on the show.
the person Charlie saved in the alley was none other than Sayid's Iraqi GF Nadia!!!
truely a great episode.. cant wait for the two hour finale!

Neglet - I thought the same thing about the yellow switch. I have an eerie feeling that Charlie is going to survive...

Unlike everyone else it seems, I really was not impressed at all by this episode. It just didn't do it for me. Although the cameo by Sayeed's girlfriend cheered me up a little. Jack getting red-mist-vision is always entertaining too, I was half-expecting him to be yelling "FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!" by the end of the episode.

I enjoyed this episode, but for me, it wasn't as good as the one just preceding.

Hey, in the Old Testament/Torah, isn't Benjamin the last son of Jacob? There's an interesting connection.

You know, I'm a total idiot for not remembering this at the time but you know how they have to disable the Looking Glass station? Why not just cut that big power cord they followed all the way out to sea? I find it difficult to believe that the station is self-sufficient.

1) It could be fiber optics/communications cord, not electrical.

2) If it is electrical and supplying power to the station, what are you going to cut it with that won't electrocute you in the process?

1. Like I said, I don't believe the station is self sufficient and that it must be getting its power from somewhere else. Also, I have a vague recollection that Sayeed followed the other end to Danielle and wasn't it connected to a big electrical generator? I don't know, just a thought.

2. There's a shark loose out there. I've seen Jaws 2. You do the math

I really wish there was more Richard in this ep. After the last 5 eps, I've become fascinated with his character!
