I’m planning to fly into Reagan National on a Saturday. From the airport I want to get to Fredrick Maryland. Does anyone know if any of the rail services operate on Saturdays?

Look it up on the internet.

The MARC train runs from Union Station to Frederick. You can take a shuttle from National Airport to Union Station and get in that way. The station in Frederick is right behind Target and Home Depot.

:)That’s the first thing I did.

I found the MARC train, but (unless I was reading it wrong) the web site said that it only ran Monday- Friday. I was hoping that someone from the area might know if that was true, and if there isn’t service on the weekend, if there is an alternative.

That would be accurate. I don't know myself for sure, but everyone in my office is telling me right now that MARC trains are Monday-Friday commuting trains only.

An alternative would be to have Jakester pick you up, if you don't mind losing 4 hours in missing time and feeling sore all over. :D

If I only had the time.

Thanks for the information. I was trying to avoid my buddy driving all the way to the airport, but that might be the best solution.

If you're having someone pick you up, you might want to consider landing at IAD (Dulles Airport) instead. It's closer to Frederick, and less of a hassle to get in and out of.

With Dulles, you can take route 15 through Leesburg and avoid the beltway completely.

Thanks for the advice.

I think I’ll fly into Dulles and just rent a car. To bad that lame MARC doesn’t run on the weekends.
