Here is a trailer for the new remake of Day of the Dead. As oyu can see it looks nothing like the origninal besides military persons. I thought the orignial was just fine, so this will have to be pretty impressive to make me NOT think of the original. This trailer came out awhile back so i am sure the movie will be coming out in the next few months.

I am not exactly thrilled to see it, but i will have to go. I am a true sucker for zombie flicks.

Well, the director was behind the old 80's horror/comedy House and House II. Other than that not much to impress on his credits.

I heard this film will finally see the light of day in August, but I am betting on a short life in theaters. It looks like the film is more of a new zombie movie with the title Day of the Dead. It has the military and scientists and thats about it. Still, I'll bet money that its better then Day of the Dead 2: Contagium.

As much as I actually wanted to see DotD 2, i cannot force myself to do it. And i have heard nothing good about it, so maybe if i see it for $3 I might buy it, is it even worth my $3 dollars?

I liked House and own the dvd, i thought it was pretty new and something different to bring to the realm of horror and comedy, maybe even one of the first, maybe.

Like in my previous post, I still have mixed feeling about this. I should have expected this to happen with the remake of Dawn of the Dead and all, but this film for some reason made more of an impression on me then Dawn did. What do you think about all this happennig and what of the original?

Here is George talking about his new zombie film Diary of the Dead and what it is based on, how he feels about Creepshow 3 and Day of the dead 2, what he plains to do for his next film which he says is a comedy about zombies........ Enjoy.

If the movie is good, I don't care what they call it. No matter how craptacular or great the movie might turn out (probably somewhere in between) there will always be the original Day of the Dead. So I am going to see this as if it is its own film and not a remake/re-imagining.

I'm looking forward to Diary of the Dead and wish there was more about a release date.
