View Full Version : Actor/Actress that is annoying

I just wanted to get a new thread going on here. It seems that things have slowed down around the movie and sci-fi forums lately, IMO.

Well, it is simple. Which Actor or Actress annoys you the most? Maybe it was the movie that represented them badly and that is why, so please explain.

For me though, Rene Zelwegger and Nichole Kidman bother me to the pont of insanity. I can handle Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut (and not for the nude scenes, not that there is anything wrong with those :) ) but other then that i cannot watch her. I find her extremely annoying. Now, Rene bothers me much more. Why do these girls bother me, i honestly do not know. What i do know, is that when i watched Cold Mountain i wanted to murder whomever casted these two in the same film.

What sucks is that Nichole Kidman is in the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which is one of my personnel favorite movies. I will go see this, but i will just have to try and not concentrate on her, unless she is naked! Then i am all over it....not that there is anything wrong with that.

Sylvester Stallone. Kiss of Death for movies for me.

Pamela Anderson. Just the sight of her will be enough to keep me away.

others will come to mind, but I just got back from a wonderful day, and I don't want to dwell on it. :anismirk:

There was that one who starred in The Nanny - Fran Drescher - but I imagine she's a given. Tom Arnold is another.

I would say Paris Hilton, but I don't want to give her any credit :D

No, the actress that annoys me most is Sandra Bernhard. She gives me the creeps.

For actor, it would have to be Leonardo DiCaprio. I've never liked the kid.

*cough* I...ughhh...actually didn't think Paris was all that bad in House of Wax. :D Sorry!

For me, the most annoying would be Dakota Fanning. I just can't stand to see little kids acting like grown-ups. They annoy me! I also don't care for Lyndsay Lohan. What kind of deal with the devil did she strike? As far as I can tell, her best movie was The Parent Trap. Maybe now that she's cleaned up her act she can show up to the set on-time and not sleep-walk through her scenes...

Is this the same clean L-Lo who just two nights ago wrecked her car high on coke and decided to take a walk to clear her head without chucking the drugs so that when the cops picked her up, they do her for possession? You gotta love the British gutter press.

Now for annoyances. Angelina Jolie. I just want to rip her face clean off, she annoys me on so many levels.

Thats pretty funny.

Paris Hilton....really?? Because she did a sex video, where she sucked at that too. She would be having sex and staring into the camera the whole time without making any noise....She cannot even act like she is having a fun time while having sex, and that takes some skill i guess.....

Oh.

But... but... she isn't hot. :headscratch:

Sorry. She is scrwany and has this annoying blank stare that screams "Could I be any stupider?"

I'm sorry, but there are far more attractive people on this planet with vast more skills, talents and passions than this empty vessel of life known as Paris Hilton. Is our culture truly that depraved?

*umm... why yes, it is.

Paris made Commercials and a horror film, I think. But it is only a fortuity, that the film is also the type of genre.

In my point of view I can not voluntarily see Diane Kruger. Not because she's German (so I am), she has very good language skills and she is fluent in English, French, German, Latin and a bit Russian I think. She is just unable to be authentic in speaking. For dubbing (or lip synchronization) Troy in Germany she (Helen) only mumbled.

All you guys seem to forget! :shakehead:

Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives. (http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/PH21781/)

"She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world?" Are you fracking kidding me!?!? Whomever wrote that must being paid a lot by her to say that bullshit. Granted, if all girls were like her, guys who have video cameras would have any problem getting laid.

Back on the thread though, another girl I just thought of who annoyed me to the point where I did not want to watch the movie anymore was, Sarah Polley in the remake of Dawn of the Dead. And Molly Ringwald in The Stand.

Both annoying and I am sure that they could act in other movies, but Molly ruined Fran for me in The Stand, everyone else who was casted in that movie was great!

Sarah in DotD; the scene that did it for me was when she is telling the main security guy to, "Get that fucking gun out of my face!"....it was just bad.

Bill_the_Pony
05-28-2007, 11:22 AM
Aww... I like Sarah, she was good in GO.

Molly is annoying, but was even moreso in this terrible 3d sci-fi Star Wars ripoff from around 1981 called Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone or something like that. HORRIBLE movie, and she was just an annoying brat in that.

The Brothers Baldwin all annoy me to some extent, some more than others.

STEVE GUTTENBERG! That one just came to mind!!!!     !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gentlemen Death
05-28-2007, 11:27 AM
I forgot about her in that. Like I said, sometimes it is just the movie that they do not do good in, she was good in GO though, I agree with that.

I liked the Baldwin who was in Carpenter's Vampires. I thought that was decent.

Just thought of another actress.....drum roll.....Hilary Swank. Ever since I saw her in Boys Don't Cry I have not been able to watch her with a straight face. I find her oddly looking and I cannot think of ONE film I have seen her in where i actually enjoyed the picture.....IMO I think The Black Dhalia was her worst flick. The movie was bad and she just added the worse to it. (Yeah, i know it was spelled wrong. And......)

Well, according to entertainment magazines she has a wonderful laugh and smile. But I find it annoying just as much as every movie that has Julia Roberts in it, they have to show her smiling and laughing in the previews.

Yes, we get it. She could suck the chrome off a doorknob; she has a big mouth, and she can smile, but stop showing her do it..........damn.

I actually don't mind Keanu Reeves. I use him to illustrate a point since he is a popular target for "bad" acting comments. Personally, I have enjoyed most of his movies. With the possible exception Point Break. I loved The Matrix films and Constantine.

Wow, Tuz. Every time I think you can't get more metrosexual, you make comments about the greatness of Point Break and steal a line from Dirty Dancing to wittily defend Patrick Swayze of all people.

I am just going to give you my woman card, because dammit- you've earned it.:OhWell:

Metuzalem

Point Break is great because it maintains all the macho bullshit essence of the big action films of the 80's.

Reagan's America, pretty young boys looking tough, etc.

I defend Swayze because he can rip a mans throat out with his bare hands - I'm not getting on the wrong side of that muthafucka!

For the record though, I detest Dirty Dancing. I hate, hate, hate that film. If a girl were to suggest "movie night" and put on Dirty Dancing, she's talked herself out of some action. That or Pretty Woman. Dammit Kah, if even you made me watch either film, I still wouldn't put out.

I'm having trouble thinking of an actor/actress I dislike.
On the screen, I can only love them or hate them for the characters they play.

Now, on the level as to how they are in REAL life, then it's no contest.

Robin Williams. I will see him in any drama. He's VERY good.
But in person? Or in any of his comedies?
I'd just as soon staple gun my bare feet to a couple of blocks of wood,
and say "Hey! Check out my new Timberlands!"

To say the man is annoying is to say the sky is blue.
The man just cannot tell a string of jokes without ultimately making some jibe
about the testicular region. Remove all the pen-is jokes, and you've removed
more than half of all his comic material. The last couple of times I've seen him
on TV was once in an awards show, and once in an episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. On both counts, he was embarrassing. The moment he speaks and
attempts to go for the funny, I cringe.

Now that's annoying.

The actors I find to be the most annoying are Ben Stiller and Will Farrell. The movies they are in are always stupid because of them. Having said that, Night at the Museum actually turned out pretty good. I was quite impressed. Maybe there's hope for Ben. Because of that, Ben Stillers rating in my book went up 1 point.

My 5 worst actors/actress list. 1 being the worst.
1. Will Farrell
2. Ben Stiller
3. Juliette Lewis
4. Luke Wilson
5. Ben Afleck

Second, if I flew over there, forced you to watch Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman, and then rewarded you by getting naked, I very much doubt you'd turn me down.

Let me explain it to you in terms of maths:

My hatred of certain things > my lust to bang hot chicks.

However, if you suggest the Dirty Dancing soundtrack for makeout music, I'd probably still put out.

I must say though, that I am thoroughly boosted by the fact that I was first choice out of me and Jake :D

Jack Black - His schtick ain't funny, he's like the uncle that won't stop the bad puns.
Owen Wilson - Lost his charm 10 movies ago.
Ben Stiller - Will probably be in another 50,000 movies this year.
Wil Ferrell - Will probably be in 75,000 movies this year. All as the same character.
Eddie Murphy - Fat suits and multiple roles are soooo Bill Cosby, therefore unfunny.
Adrian Brody - yeah, I know he hasn't been in many movies...let's try to limit them even further.
Ben Affleck - Bitch, your 15 minutes was up 3 days ago.
Matt Damon - "Gay, serial killer of the month" pretty much summed up all his roles in 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'.
Kevin Smith - Not only sucks as an actor, but as a director too.
Jessica Alba - A cute butt will only get you so far in Hollywood. Wait until you hit 35 and all those movie offers dry up before your eyes.
Ashley Judd - We know you can act, but you keep remaking the same movie with Morgan Freeman every other year. You can stop now.
Quentin Tarantino - See Kevin Smith for reference.
Jennifer Anniston - The neurotic thing was funny about ten years ago. Here's a quarter, buy some acting lessons.
Mark Walberg - Marky Mark needs to find his Funky Bunch again, because he's starting to find bad roles that have been done before.
Simon Pegg - *Yawn* Yeah, 'Shaun of the Dead' was amusing..is that the only note you play?
Adam Sandler - Dude, remember when you were funny?
Mike Meyers - Remember when this guy made funny movies instead of dead cash-cow sequels?
Drew Barrymore - Um, hon, I hate to break this to you, but you're almost 40 years old (and look it). The cute thing hasn't been working for you since around the mid 90's.
Cameron Diaz - Does she actually do movies anymore?
Lindsay Lohan - Please stop. Now.

I might get some flack about this choice, but it is just what I think...

Orlando Bloom...I have not seen him in one good role where, IMO, he can actually act...I know he was in LotR and a lot of you are fans, and probably think that he did an excellent job, but that was the one character who was to much for me, I did not beleive him, as an actor, portraying that role to the fullest...

PotC......No, that one is to easy....It seems that Hollywood concentrates more on looks then acting. Yeah, every once and awhile a hottie will come along who can do both, but it is rare. And like DaForce said, Jessica Alba is very hot, but she seems like she has the mental ability of an 8 year old......
