Marvel has 2 100th issue celebrations in She-Hulk vol 2 #3 and the upcoming new thunderbolts #19. While Shehulk went with just calling the issue SheHulk 100 (marking all 3 previous series), Thunderbolts will return to its original numbering, (forgetting about the 6 issue direction change at the end of the original run, replacing it with the avengers/tbolts miniseries). Both issues also had over 100 pages in content in them alone.

Could this be a new standard in comic book writing? if it is, i hope it holds up to the standards that look to be set by either of these 2 issues. She-hulk held a story and reprints of the first issues of Savage She-hulk and sensational she-hulk. Thunderbolts on the other hand will have a full-length story, that is supposed to wrap up past elements of the series, and set the stage for the next stage of the series.

Could this be a good thing for comics?

I am baffled my Marvel's numbering system. It makes no sense to alter the numbering of a series. The worst example of this was the Avengers. They changed to the "original" numbering just in time to cancel the series and relaunch it. They also cancel Wolverine just to restart the series a couple of month later with a new #1. Will this rerturn to it's orginal numbering when the series hits the 300 mark?

Numbering aside, I lik She-Hulk and look forward to this one. I got bored of the Thunderbolts about a year into it's original run and have never looked back.
