Man this shiznit is tough. Inly got so far before I hit writer's block.
Main Characters
Captain America / Steve Rogers Anthony Michael Hall
Nick Fury Clint Eastwood or Samuel Jackson (you pick, but personally I like Eastwood.)
Sharon Carter / Agent 13 Kristy Swanson
Red Skull Christopher Eccleston
Bucky Barnes Peter Fonda (cameo)
Baron Zemo

The film opens in the oval office. President Obama (cameo?)is seated behind his desk swiveled toward the window in a contemplative pose. He turns back to the Secretary of Defence (Eccleston) standing at attention and instructs him to make the call. Nodding his head, the Secretary confirms they will call in S.H.I.E.L.D.

Helicopters land, boots hit the ground, orders being shouted and in the background, the massive S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. A warehouse is surrounded and from a landing platform on a Chinook steps Nick Fury. Calm and confident, Agent 13 approaches and hands Fury a datapad. Fury removes his cigar and shakes his head. " Boy Scout."

As a perimeter is established and the building is surrounded, there's a huge explosion from an upper level windows. Moments later, two figures come flying out of the window, the action slows as the two are battling fiercely while they fall.

Captain America and Zemo roll and come up together in a flurry of kicks and punches, neither gaining ground nor advantage.

Agent 13 looks to Fury with a smirk and a questioning eyebrow. Fury answers with a smirk and a negative. "[I]He's got it."

Cap wins. Of course. After the fight Fury and Cap are walking away from the troops.
"You should have waited for authorization."
"He would have escaped and you know it."
"True. But as usual you've managed to set a bad example for the kids. We work within a system Captain you..."
"Cut the crap Fury. Zemo will answer for his crimes. The job is done. Period."
"Steve..."
"Save it." As he walks away.

Cut to a scene of Steve Rogers visiting an aged Bucky Barnes and they have heart to heart [insert dialogue relevant to the storyline from the comics about Bucky being retrained as the winter soldier] also [insert flahback footage of Cap and Bucky in WWII bang, crash, action baby!]

Next we move to a dusty run down building in Pakistan and we see a few terrorist types enter a room and close the door. Standing behind a desk, gazing at a huge map of the continents, hands clasped behind his back is the Red Skull. [insert dialogue about a plot to topple the US Gov't]

Move to a training simulation, (The audience doesn't know it's all holographic) Rogers is taking on a gang of Hydra Agents as Sharon Carter joins the fight simulation.

[insert dialogue about retirement, Cap is not sure, Carter wants him to stay on...this is why I'm not a screen writer]

I give up. Someone write me an ending

Captain America: The Movie Part 1 (Its just 1 movie, but I have so much that I need a couple of different posts).

Captain America/Steve Rogers - Channon Roe

Baron Von Strucker - Pete Postlethwaite

Red Skrull - Jurgen Prochnow

Sam Wilson - Texas Battle

Agent 13/Sharon Carter - Kim Raver

Nick Fury - Fred Ward

Music by Harry Gregson-Williams

Directed by Gore Verbinski

Once again, I am going to forgo strict continuity of the comics. If you want to go that route there are numerous stories to pick and this creative exercise would be pointless. :D That being said, I tried to stay true to the characters while using elements from both regular and Ultimate continuity.

Edit: Also, this is a bit long. If I'd know how long, I probably never would have started. The next time I do one of these I will do a draft on my home PC first. Making it all up on the fly, I am sure I messed up or confused a couple of things.

Fade in:

Arctic Circle - 2010

S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jack Simon stands on the edge of the base, looking at the approaching craft. The vehicle touches down and Simon rushes to greet it. Nick Fury steps out of the craft, trademark cigar in mouth and looking extremely grumpy that he's been called up to a nothing outpost whose primary mission in tracking the effects of the increasing heat on the polar ice caps.

Fury approaches the seemingly excited Simon who is unperturbed by Fury's foul mood. Fury grumbles that this had better be something that is a massive world threat, or the Ark of the God damned Covenant. Simon is explaining about how they were taking core samples for further study when a sheet cracked and they found it. Fury asks what is he found. Simon tells him hes gotta see it for himself. Fury allows himself to be led into a natural ice cavern, strewn with scientific equipment and recording instruments. Lights are everywhere.

They reach the point Simon was telling him about and Fury's cigar falls out of his mouth. He's shocked into disbelief. We then see Captain America (in a mix of WWII era American Uniform and his costume) frozen in the ice. Fury regains his composure and puts an arm around Simon. He tells him that a team will be up to excavate and that he is not to say a word to anyone. Fury warns him a single leak will result in everyone down to his grandparents will disappear to a remote station that makes this one look like New York City.

-S.H.I.E.L.D. Hellicarrier

Sam Wilson stands over the thawing Captain America, looking back at Fury. He's unsure as to what it is Fury wants from him. Fury wants DNA samples. Recovering the super soldier serum has just become a #1 priority.

Wilson seems alright with that. He is impressed, though. He had heard stories of Captain America growing up and wanted to be him someday. Fury just nods, stating that a lot of little boys wanted to be Captain America. Most people thought he was a legend, some Army propaganda used to frighten the U.S. enemies during WWII. Wilson asked if there were signs of Bucky. Fury chuckles. The snot nosed punk was probably just a media gimmick to make 18 year old men enlist. And probably some underage kids who were good at lying. Wilson agrees. He turns to get a needle when Rogers moves. Fury takes a step back. Wilson is also shocked.

Steve Rogers opens his eyes. He tries to sit up, but is unable. He rolls over the side of the table, landing on the floor. He's trying to talk, but all he can manage is a croak. Wilson calls for the medics. Rogers passes out. Fury only says, "This changes things".

Rogers comes to in a hospital room. There is a woman sitting by the door, reading. He looks around, clearly confused by what he sees. The woman sees him awake and greets him by name. He asks who she is, and she is Sharon Carter. She's been assigned to watch him. He tells her he is not a threat. She assures him that she is here to answer any questions. His first of which is what happened. She tells him they found him encased in a block of ice. She also tells him they won the war, if he is interested. The next few questions basically head in the direction of letting him knwo that it is no longer 1944. This is a bit of a shock.

Agent Trace breaks off from the men in the infirmary and makes a call. He tells his listener that the Patriot is back.

Fury is speaking to the President. He wants to know what they are going to do about Rogers. The President seems interested in using Captain America as showpiece of a bygone era, as well as a way to raise his approval rating for the next election. Fury, of course, is of the opinion that Rogers was declared dead in WWII, and it should stay that way. Maybe he could retire to a secret island while his blood will help unlock the secret of the Super Solider serum. After some argument, the president tells him it will be discussed later as he is late for a very important meeting.

That night, several attack craft attack the Hellicarrier. Alarms are sounded and men prepare for battle. Steve Rogers is awoken by this. Carter tells him to calm down. He is safe here.

Fury arrives at the command center, wanting to know whats going on. Pierce tells him that a contingent of Hydra operatives are attacking. Fury wants to know how they got so close without being detected. No one knows, but some speculate they must have some kind of new stealth technology.

Hydra invades the Hellicarrier, guns blazing. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are giving as good as they get. Fury is the Com-room, barking orders.

Rogers and Sharon sit tightly in the medic room. Hearing the call for more men, Rogers tells Sharon he can't sit by anymore. She tries to stop him, but its futile. She then tells him that if he really wants to help them, then to follow her.

They arrive at a storage room. She takes Steve in. They find the Shield, sitting atop other relics. He picks the shield up, light seeming to gleam off the star and stripes. He then slides his arm into it and tell her he is ready.

The two charge down a hallway leading to engineering. In the large room, Steve sees a group of Hydra soldiers eliminating the engineers. Sharon begins firing at the Hydra goons. Rogers knows she won't stop them all in time. He yells out to surprised Hydra agents as he leaps in to the fray. There is only a moment hesitation before Hydra starts firing at him. Rogers uses the shield as he fights through them. At one point, he launches the shield, knocking a gun out of the hands of one of the men. Within moments they have all been defeated. Rogers is victorious and the rest of Hydra has been eliminated or captured. Carter stand looking impressed. Captain America is back!

Captain America: The Movie - Part 2

Baron Von Strucker enters the scene. He is greeted by a small craft as it lands in the Hydra HQ. He is regal and dignified, though purely evil. He is greeted by his commandos who successfully infiltrated the Hellicarrier and re-emerged with their true objective: a vial of blood taken from Steve Rogers. Strucker is overjoyed that their plan can go forward. The leader of the squad tells him there may be some difficulty. Captain America is alive. Strucker deems this impossible, but knows it isn't. He tells them it doesn't matter. The next phase must begin.

Fury is chewing nails. That Hydra got in and tried to sabotage the ship is incomprehensible. That they would have succeeded without Captain America's intervention is worse. Rogers ask what Hydra is. Sharon tells him its a terrorist organization bent on over-throwing America's regime and keeping them from ever again interfering in foreign affairs. Their ultimate goal after that can only be world domination. Rogers comments on how things never change. Just once it would be nice to see an evil army settle for a small continent.

Fury tells him its unimportant. The important thing is to find out what they're up to now and stop it. Rogers tells him its time for Captain America to be reborn. Fury tells him flat out no. Rogers informs him he wasn't asking. Sharon points out that they don't even know which faction to start with. She tells Steve that there are many sects. You cut off one limb, two more grows in its place. Rogers merely replies that if you cut out the heart, the limbs mean nothing.

Fury reluctantly agrees. He tells Rogers there are two conditions. First, he's going to need a new uniform. The second: Agent 13 is going to be his handler. Sam Wilson informs Rogers that he's the back-up. Rogers agrees.

Elsewhere, Von Strucker is meeting with his scientists who are analyzing the blood. He asks for an update. The scientist tells him that they can't break it down. Its resistant to all forms of inspection. They can't replicate what was done. Strucker is dissatisfied with this, but accepts it. He asks how the other test are going. We now see many people chained to the wall or strapped down to tables. Most of them appear to be dead. The scientist smiles, it will be ready when its time to launch the project.

Sharon Carter is relating a story her grandfather told her about Captain America when she was younger. She always thought he was making it up. Rogers doesn't say anything. After several moments she calls his name. He comments that its not a uniform, its a costume for Halloween. He steps out and we see Captain America for the first time! Sharon tell him she likes it. That seems to soften him up a bit. She tells him its time to go.

Rogers and Sharon arrive at a fast-food place. Rogers opens the door for her and then pulls out a chair for her. He is embarrassed to say he is not sure what to order for himself, let alone her. She tells him that its alright, that woman have learned to fend for themselves in the last 70 years. She orders for them both. Even though they are on stake out Rogers is looking at everything. Both amazed and disappointed. The city smells worse. The food is barely edible and everything is so loud. Not to mention the outlandish way people look. He is of the opinion that the tattooed, pierced freak behind the counter that served them could do with a tour of service in the Army.
As they eat a somewhat boorish man approaches, his eyes having caught the beautiful Carter as he came in. He seems oblivious to Rogers and his eyes look as if he's had six too many to drink. The man suggests that Carter ditch the farm boy and come with him. Carter tells him politely that he needs to go home and sleep it off. He becomes a little more insistent. Rogers warns that she asked him to leave. The man ignores him and grabs Sharon's arm. Steve moves to stand up, but the boorish fellow pushes him down in his seat. Rogers reaction is terrifyingly fast. He grabs the man's hand twists it a little. Rogers tells the man he has been warned and decks him. The man goes down with a single punch. Sharon gets up, clearly upset. She tells him that was too much. Rogers points out the man was being unGentleman-like and needed a good beating. She then explains that he can't go around fighting men for being dishonorable. It isn't 1944 anymore. She can tell she struck a nerve from the look in his eyes. He is all too well aware that it is not 1944. All those that he once loved are all gone. Died from passing years. The world has moved on and forgotten all about him. There is no time machine. She tries to apologize and he tells her to forget it. There is a threat and he intends to deal with it.
He then leaves the diner. There is a look in her eyes, though. One that says its possible she could love this man.

The craft comes down on top of what is a Hydra safe house. Captain America jumps out and lands on the rooftop. He then goes inside for another action piece where he kicks serious butt. He gets to what he assumes is one of the commanders. He drags him up tot he roof where Carter is waiting. The interrogation begins. When the commander refuses to give any information Sharon pull sher gun and threatens to blow his knee. When that doesn't get a result, she pulls back on the trigger, only to have Rogers knock the gun aside, sending the bullet harmlessly into the rooftop. Rogers tells her torture of another man is never an option. She looks at him for a long moment and sees that he is serious. She then tell shim its not important, they have other methods of finding out what they need. Rogers tells her to take him then. He needs to wander a bit, to come to terms with all that has happened. She looks unsure, but leaves him with a communicator.

Rogers walks around the city, eventually arriving at what used to be his home. Driven by a compulsion he cannot control, he walks up to the front door and pushes the doorbell. An old man answers the door. Rogers is shocked. It looks like Brandon Rhodes, an old army buddy. When he says the name, the old man shakes his head sadly, that was his father. He is Michael. Rogers nods. As he turns to leave Michael asks him if he's related to Steve Rogers. Rogers replies with a sort of. Michael invites him in. They talk about the last days of WWII and Michael wants to know what happened to Steve Rogers. Rogers tells him that a missile was set to hit the Allied Forces. Captain America and his partner, a young soldier named Bucky Barnes tried to stop the Nazis from launching it. Only they were captured. Bucky was strapped to the rocket and Captain America was being held, forced to watched. Only, he found his strength and broke free. He jumped to the missile to save his partner, but was too late. The missile launched with both of them on it. With little time, Captain America had to make their deaths mean something. Instead of freeing Bucky, which might have saved both their lives, he sabotaged the missile, sending it crashing into the ocean. Neither of them was heard from until just recently. Rogers confesses who he is. The old man smiles at him and tells him that it seems somehow right that he should come back now, when he is needed most.

Von Strucker is ready to move ahead with his plan. The President of the United States is going to be heading to the middle-east for peace talks. While he is there, they are going to bomb Washington, D.C. with a viral bomb. The, when America is at its weakest, they will take the President and kill him, demoralizing the United States.

Steve Rogers is waiting for Sharon Carter at the Lincoln Memorial. He is looking on the face of the 16th President when she arrives. She asks him if he's okay. He tells her that this isn't the world he was born into, that this isn't the kind of war he signed on to fight. She tells assures him that she understands, sounding disappointed. He tells her that she doesn't understand. The old ways are gone, and the old war is long since won, but it doesn't matter. When he became Captain America it was in service to his country, the the ideals she represented and the freedom she promised. He understood that once he became Captain America he was choosing duty and service above everything else. Not because he wanted to defeat her enemies or to avenge those who had fallen, but because he believed in her, believed in her promise to every man, no matter where he was from, and would defend her to his dying breath. Now we see a sparkle in her eyes. She doesn't just respect this man, she's fallen in love with him.

Captain America: The Movie - Part 3

Back aboard the hellicarrier a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Trace stalks around. He looks to see if anyone is checking on him and then walks into a comm-room. He moves to turn a swivel chair and is shocked when Fury is sitting there. The Agent is shocked. He turns to run and is stopped by two more Agents. Fury stands up, cracking his knuckles. He tells them they're going to be having a conversation.

Carter is on a secured cell-phone, presumably hearing Fury explaining what is going on.
She is grim. rogers asks her what is up. She tells him they've uncovered Hydra's plan. Agent Trace was to sabotage the hellicarrier when the Hydra craft went in to attack D.C. They have now the launch point and the date. Rogers tells her its time to go. Carter informs him that S.H.I.E.L.D. is raiding the HQ. They're job is to hang tight. Rogers then tells her that one man can make the difference between success and failure. He then tells her he is going anyway. He has a mission to see through.

The next scene is U.S. Military and S.H.I.E.L.D. converging on a military base in Germany.

Von Strucker is aware of the attack, noting that their mole has been discovered. He orders his own troops to attack. He then makes tells his underling to prepare his personal craft.

Hydra jets take off, heading for the attack force. The battle begins.

Fury is pacing the command center. He wants to be in the battle, not just watching it. Pierce informs him that a small contingent of craft are preparing to launch and escape. Fury tells him to intercept. Pierce informs hims that they'll never make it. Thats when the call comes in. Captain America has arrived on the scene.

Sharon pilots th craft through the massive air fight. They dodge exploding planes and zip through close calls. They see their target and make a beeline for it.

Fury orders his men to put the pressure on.

Sharon closes the gap between her and Von Strucker. Rogers urges her on. They look about to overtake Von Strucker when an air base materializes out of nowhere.
Rogers tells her to turn, but its too late and she knows it. If she tries to avoid the landing dock, they'll smash into the side of the ship instead. Their only chance is to fly into the carrier.

Sharon lowers the craft down to a landing. She looks at Rogers and they share a look. They're going to go down fighting.

The two exit the craft, Sharon with her gun ready, and Cap with his shield. Two large exo-armors stop them in their tracks. Both of them have mini-guns trained on the intruders.

Von Strucker greets them, particularly Cap. He has heard the legends, but did not believe. Hydra soldiers arrive and disarm the pair. Von Strucker then has them takes away to separate places.

Fury's battle is won. But Agent 13 and Cap have gone MIA. He orders his men to work on it. One of the techs mentions what he saw during battle when a massive craft appeared for moments, then disappeared. Fury tell shim to start figuring out how to find it.

Von Strucker is speaking to his head scientist again, wanting to know the progress. The scientist informs him that the all goes well and they expect results soon. Von Strucker is pleased.

Cap is brought in to the lab. Von Strucker smiles pleasantly. He tells Cap that he read of him when he was a child. The great interloper who was partly responsible for the end of the Third Reich. How he wished, then, that he could have crushed the motherland's enemy. Now he has him in his hands. He picks up the shield, noting that its heavier than he expected. But its still a child's toy and he drops it to the table.

Von Strucker informs him that S.H.I.E.L.D has ruined his plans. The only thing left is plan B. That is, to launch a missile into New York, carrying a viral plague. He tells cap that he also believes that history has a way of repeating itself. A window opens and we see Sharon attached to the missile. Von Strucker laughs. Rogers clenches his fists and jaw. He then tells Von Strucker that he'll be back. Von Strucker seems confused, until Rogers breaks out of the restraints by sheer strength. He runs, grabbing the shield. The scientists stay out of his way. Von Strucker draws his pistol and firing, not caring as he takes down a scientist or two. Hes not good enough and Rogers crashes through the window with the shield.

Von Strukcer orders the missile launched.

Cap begins working his way up the platform. Sharon struggles against the chains. The missile ignites.

Cap reaches Sharon as the missile begins lifting off. He uses the shield to bust through the chains and then jumps off to the side. The missile leaves the bay.

Cap asks Sharon if she's alright and she is. He hugs her and then tells her they need to find a way to stop the missile. She thinks the main command center. Cap tells her to go stop it. This is her world and she knows how to use the equipment. He's a bit more old-fashioned. He's going to stop Von Strucker.

Cap then runs back to where Von Strucker was, seeing him close and lock a door as he flees.

Sharon is working her way to the command room. She grabs one of the Hydra agents and forces him to take her there.

Cap runs through he maze, trying to find another way to Von Strucker. He finally enters a room that is mostly dark, with the exception of a light shining down on a glass tube, frosted over. He approaches the tube and is horrified to find the Red Skull inside. Von Strucker emerges from the shadows, gun in hand. Cap tell shim he has to be crazy, trying to bring back the Red Skull. Von Strucker disagrees. For too long the U.S. has forced its policies on the rest of the world. Good righteous men have died for no more than having different ways of doing things. Cap just tells him he's a simple man. He puts down evil wherever he finds it.

Sharon is at the command room, but can't figure out how to stop the missile. She gets an idea, though. She radios Fury. She quickly fills him in on whats going on.

Fury is barking orders again. He's sending attack craft to stop the missile. The hellicarrier is going to attack Hydra's ship.

Von Strucker raises his pistol. The American Dream is dead. He then fires, catching Cap in the shoulder. Cap lunges at Von Strucker, knocking him into a wall. Strucker knows he's no match physically for and smacks him in the face with the butt of his pistol. Cap staggers back a step. Von Strucker makes a run for it. Cap gives chase. Two agents appear, blocking his way. These guys are little more challenge in a fight.

The hellicarrier approaches Hydra's position as the craft appears.

Sharon has destroyed the console for the cloaking mechanism. She is now going to find Cap and get out before S.H.I.E.L.D does its work.

The pursuit force closes in on the missile. They launch their rockets, taking it out.

Cap finishes his fight with the Hydra agents and an elevator door opens for Von Strucker. He tells Cap they'll be another time. Cap can't make it in time running. Determination sets into his face and he throws the shield. Von Strucker's triumphant smile turns into a horrified expression when the shield catches him, knocking him into the elevator. The shield zooms back to Cap.

Cap runs to the elevator where a dazed and dying Von Strucker lies. His last words are "The legends were true..."

Sharon arrives in the second elevator. She sees Von Strucker dead and says, "You killed him". Cap tells her the worst part of being a soldier is having to take a life to preserve the freedom of your country. She informs him that they have to get out. S.H.I.E.L.D is taking the craft down.

The pair runs through the craft. They pass the glass tube and Cap looks at it briefly, saying only "Rot in hell". They then move forward and arrive back to the hangar. The craft escapes just as S.H.I.E.L.D's missiles plow into the Hydra craft.

They escape the explosion.

Later...

The White House.

Fury is walking next to the President. He is telling the President that it needs to be brief. He doesn't want the presence of Rogers being leaked. He's become an important asset to national security. The President waves him off as they enter an antechamber. Rogers is sitting in his Cap uniform with the mask pulled off. Sharon Carter sits near him, but not too near.

Rogers stands up when the President enters. The president tell shim he wants to shake his hand, and does so. Cap tell shim the honor and the privilege is all his. Fury tells Cap its time to go. Cap tells him no. Fury looks incredulous. Cap informs him that when he became Captain America, it wasn't just to fight America's enemies. He became a symbol, one that would lead men into battle to let all know that America was going to win or go down fighting. He doesn't want any part of Fury's secret war. He's going to go outside and show America, that symbols never die. Especially now, when its needed most. Fury moves to say something, but the President puts a hand on his arm. He tells Fury to let it go. Some things are too big to be kept secret.

Captain America steps outside, where reporters are waiting for the President. All are stunned to silence when Captain America appears. He then says, "Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, I am back." The camera then swivels to show the American flag waving in the wind as he smiles and waits for the questions to start.

S.H.I.E.L.D agents are going over the wreckage of the Hyrda ship. One of the men finds something in the debris. He bends over to pick up what looks to be a Nazi pin. He turns to show it to his buddy when a gloved hand reaches out the debris, grabbing him by the throat. The face of the Red Skull then appears. He sneers at the agent, "I am reborn". Snap.

Fade out.

No, I didn't know that, but I seem to be able to pull that kind of stuff off every once in a while.

Back before Scooby-Doo was cast, I thought the best person to play Shaggy was Matthew Lillard.

Also, the first time I saw Equilibrium, I thought Christian Bale would make an awesome Batman.

Hmmm, maybe I should be in Hollywood casting?

I think Aaron Eckhart would make a good Capt. America.
