Curious...

Raise your hands. :)

I haven't picked up a Harry Potter book in a year and a half. I'm starting the series over again tomorrow afternoon.

So you don't plan on reading the new one until after you've gone through all the previous six?

I'm re-reading 'Half-Blood Prince' next week.

lol What makes you think I won't be done before Deathly Hallows comes out?

Or rather...is your question that I should read perhaps 3-6 before 7?

I'm starting to think about that scenario before I pick up a book today.

I actually got all the audio books at the library and listened through them going to and from work.

I'm reading them all. Panicky college studying has given me back my long-lost ability to finish a sizeable book a day, as long as I don't have to think too hard about it. I think I have about 80 pages left in Chamber of Secrets before I get to troop down to the library to see if they've got a copy of Prisoner of Azkaban -- mine's gone mysteriously missing.

It's weird, but it seems like no one reads the first two or three books anymore, just 4-6. Harry was a little shit even in the first one, and it's weird to see how mean they were to Hermione at first.

I just read 5 and 6 again about 2 months ago, and I'll probably read 6 again next week.

Like I've mentioned on the other thread, I hadn't read any Harry Potter until basically last week and I'm just about to be done with Goblet of Fire. I'll probably start the 5th book sometime tonight. Basically, I'm on track to finishing up the series earlier than I would have anticipated and picking up the last book when it comes out. And I actually just saw my first Harry Potter film last night (Goblet). I've basically seen bits and pieces of all of the films but have never actually sat down and watched them fully.

I plan on re-reading Half-Blood Prince this week. I wish I had time to read over all of them before DH, but I don't.

I'm sure after DH comes out I'll have to start the series over again and see how many clues there are to the final result of the series (whatever that may be)

I started reading the series about a month ago, and I just finished Half Blood Prince yesterday. Order of the Phoenix was the first movie that I had read the book first.

I have Deathly Hallows pre-ordered from Amazon, so hopefully I'll be getting right into it when it comes out.

Yeah. I finished Half Blood Prince this morning. Hopefully the last book will be entertaining and satisfying.

I've already re-read a couple of them, but I'm doing it out of order. I re-read Half-Blood Prince, and then I re-read Goblet of Fire. I am going to re-read Order of the Phoenix now that I have seen the movie (I didn't want to have the book fresh in my mind when I saw the movie.) I doubt I will have time to read any of the others before the new one.

I've read books 1-4 so many times I didn't think it necessary; I was reminded of book 5 by the film; so I'm only re-reading book 6. I'm about five chapters from the end, but Neg Jr. keeps taking it away from me. We'll have it done by Friday at midnight and our purchase of Deathly Hallows.
