Yeah, I never dug Farscape...I will not knock it completely, but I feel there could have been other shows SCI-FI could have brought back....

I have to admit, I only saw two episodes of "Farscape" and was completely lost. It never took with me.

It's got everything I want in a good scifi show. Multidimensional characters, multilayered storylines that evolve over a period of time. Great action and SFX. And it has one of the best realized ever in any story in any medium.

My second fav scifi series of all time, tied with newBSG, right behind Babylon 5.

Farscape rocks! It is definitely some of the best TV sci-fi ever put out there. If I had to choose between the new Galactica and Farscape, Farscape would win every time.

And if you ever actually watched it, there is no way you could say it was "pointless and silly".

Farscape was one of the few sci-fi shows to ever really show the alienation (no pun intended) of a human traveler among a galaxy of aliens. Some great characters, good plots, and decent effects.

Plus Ben Browder is hot!

I watched all of them syndication, Strider.
I if wasn't; laffing my ass.. off"! at the toal absurdity.... of the whole
thing . I was making "Mystery Science Theater" comments........
just make it through.
Why did I watch it? because bored & curious
to see what all the hype was about?
and its just fanboy, hype!

Then you and I must have completely different taste. Farscape is damn good television due to good storytelling, a wacky sense of humor, compelling characters, insanely good puppetry work, and good to great performances from the cast and guest stars.

If you don't like it, that's fine, but it is far from pointless. There are several themes that run through the whole series, including the value of friendship and the strength of family.

Out of curiosity, what sci-fi television do you like?

Stargate, & Stargate Atlantis
thats about it. The Lost Room was interesting.
SciFi is really show case for bad B -movies now.

I liked Farscape quite a bit, but it does not compare to the new BSG, which is just brilliant.

Maybe if I smoked pot, I would have understood what was going on. :D

after Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, I'm stumped at how they can continue it without uhh.... wait is this stuff still considered spoilers?

Dargo and Pilot die in PeaceKeeper Wars as does Scorpious, John Criton and Aaron have a child and close the worm-hole to Earth... If it begin with John and Aaron's baby all grown up, perhaps it'll have a fighting chance in hell?

I also havent heard the announcment that BSG was coming back in short episodes either, where was that announced?

I wonder how much the success of the Clone Wars had to do with these getting made.
