Okay, let's hear it. Who's watching the best thing ABC has going right now? (yes, I can say that after three straight mediocre episodes of Lost)
If you aren't watching this...well...why? It's the most addictive thing going right now, with the fabulous writing, tight and interwoven storylines, soundtrack to die for, and for the most part wonderful acting. Plus there's Katherine Heigl in scrubs!
It's on every Sunday at 10/9/dependsonwhereyoulive, and the first season was just released on DVD this past Tuesday.
So who's with me? I just started watching it after the Super Bowl episode(s) and am so completely hooked right now. The Code Black episodes were phenomenal, and have started this show down the path of a blockbuster. It outdrew the Desperate Housewives last week, and DH is supposed to be it's lead in!

I've been watching Grey's Anatomy since it started, and it's the only show I started watching that I haven't tired of yet. It's one of the funniest shows on television, and the recent two-parter was tense and heartbreaking. Sandra Oh is friggin brilliant and by far one of my favorite characters on TV today. Tonight's episode provided some great obstacles for some characters
what with Addison's lover dropping in (and the title of McSteamy is very well deserved) and George finally telling Meredith how he feels.
Can't wait for next week!
I have also been watching GA since it started. This is by far my favorite show right now. I got really hooked on DH over the summer, so Sunday was a great day for me, but last night, I let the guys play video games till 9. I just can't seem to care about DH anymore. I keep watching, hoping it will reel me back in, but GA and Invasion are the only shows that I willingly give up peeing, eating, and smoking for an hour.

The wife started watching it this season. I watched one episode and liked it a lot (mmm...Heigl), but I don't have time for any more shows. Hell, she got me to pick up Boston Legal. That's a great show, too.
BL is great. I never liked Spader before, didn't think Shatner was funny, and was too young to really appreciate Murphy Brown, but this show has blown away any preconceived opinions I was harboring. Denny Crane never gets old, and Bergen's facial expressions are priceless. BTW, Betty White is a riot! You should pick up GA, Jake. I promise you'll like it. And if you don't, well... name your price.

I love this show, one of the few that I never miss (other than Bones, I know, it's just that I miss Buffy so much, Supernatural, and Medium). The characters seem so well rounded and I love the smart dialog. What did everyone think of this last episode with that bomb guy doing the pink mist?
On a side note has anyone noted the similarities with the new show Conviction? Just a Grey's Anatomy only with prosecuting attorneys.

I adore GA. I think it's better than Housewives. The characters are so well rounded and I feel tied to them all, even the ones I don't like. Great show!
I'm definitely looking forward to next week!

Frankly, I'd watch Natalie's Anatomy. Hell, I'd watch it all the time.

CNN.com did an interview with T.R. Knight (George O'Malley).
Bumbling, lovestruck and not McDreamy
T.R. Knight has found fame on 'Grey's Anatomy'
Tuesday, February 21, 2006; Posted: 2:39 p.m. EST (19:39 GMT)
T.R. Knight plays Dr. George O'Malley, a surgeon with love life struggles on "Grey's Anatomy."
NEW YORK (AP) -- Move over, McDreamy: This doctor wants your ex, and he won't break her heart.
It's been more than a year since T.R. Knight swapped a stage career for a promising role on "Grey's Anatomy" as bumbling, puppy-eyed Dr. George O'Malley, one of a team of sexy, multicultural surgeons on the hit ABC series.
Knight's Everyman alter ego, George, is Seattle Grace Hospital's resident bleeding heart, wrestling with unrequited love for Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), who pines for Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).
The 32-year-old Minnesota native spoke to The Associated Press about newfound success, working with stinky animal guts and that steamy post-Super Bowl shower scene.

I love the show too, however, I am so.not.interested in poor Meredith. I hated it when she said that Addison had her "Mclife" sorry, but it's Addison's "Mclife," not Meredith's. I think Meredith is whiny and annoying. She barely had any kind of relationship with Shepard and suddenly her life is over because there are complications (albeit big complications). Sorry, she's melodramatic and boring.
She is more concerned about McDreamy than about her dying mother. If the show were to focus on that relationship then I might have some compassion for Mere, but right now - shut up and change the name of the show to "Bailey's Anatomy."
I adore everyone else on the show - they are flawed and real. The Mere/Shepard/Addison triangle needs to go away and then I'll be happy.

God, after last night and the way she treated George, I now hate Meredith. Izzy is kind of pissing me off too the way she treated Alex.

Did you guys watch it last night? I love little George. But I did appreciate when Christina said that crappy things would stop happening to him when he quit accepting crap.
Any thoughts on what's going to happen with Alex and Izzie?
You know, I can't be mad at Mer. Why not? 1) She just went to see her dad to tell him that she understood why he left, and he didn't even care. He didn't try to say sorry, or explain why he hasn't been around in 20 years. He just wanted to know if he could give her something to make her go away. 2) She just found out her mom was having an affair and that's why her dad left them. And I do mean them, because not having contact with your daughter for 20 years means you've left her. 3) She just about died. Then she got to watch the cute bomb squad guy die in front of her. Then her girlfriends got to wash chunks of him off of her. 4) She finally has a connection with a guy, and it turns out he's married, which she finds out when the wife comes to win him back. 5) Said guy is still flirting and compassionate, and wonderful, but completely unavailable due to aforementioned wife. 6) She was drunk and sad and could have probably used a hug.
Why am I disappointed in George? 1) Could he not smell the booze on her? 2) If he really loved her, wouldn't he wonder why she didn't respond to anything he said, and stop her from stripping off his clothes until she answered him? 3) When she started sobbing, he didn't stop and say, "Oh, my God, Mer, what's wrong?" No. He went all zero confidence and shouted, "Is having sex with me THAT BAD?" Right, buddy, it's all about you.
Why am I not surprised by Izzy? 1) Alex is an ass. 2) Alex doesn't deserve her loyalty, not that she's given it. 3) Alex is an ass who cheated on her, let her catch him, and gave George syphillus (indirectly). 4) Everybody likes to get laid. What's better than a friend with benefits when you aren't getting any? A FWB that you have no intentions of falling in love with. 5) She is so much like George, I don't wonder why she sided with him, even without having heard the whole story.
Why do I love Christina, and think she's my long-lost Asian twin? 1) Even Christina doesn't pick on the weird kid. 2) She knows Mer isn't perfect. Just like she knows everyone makes mistakes. 3) She didn't judge. 4) She put George in his place. "I don't have to look at you to feel you pouting." 5) She didn't ask George what was wrong when he was quietly begging someone to ask him why he was pouting. 6) She gave George a place to stay. (Well, Burke did, too, but who doesn't love him already?) 7) She didn't treat Mer like a leper.

Kah, everything you said about Meredith and George, dead right. Perfect. SNAP!
Like no one else has ever realized right in the middle of things that it was a mistake. Poor Meredith, she wanted to love George. Not her fault she doesn't.

Where have I been? I haven't watched this show until just recently (2 eppies ago) and man is it good! Tonight's repeat (which was new to me) was so sad. I actually cried. I am liking this better than desperate housewives (and i love dh). Can someone tell me when Patrick Dempsey got so dang hot? I'm not the only one who thinks so, the http://www.greysanatomyonline.com/ poll has him beating out Alex (woah) and George (no, really?).
Anyways, I am a totally loyal fan now. My friend has show tivo'ed so I have been catching up.

Last night's episode made me never want to watch this show again.
This show used to be about relationships and not about overly dramatic plotlines - it used to understand the power of subtlety.
Of course, I'm still counting down the hours until 9pm.

Damnit! Damnit damnit damnit!
After all that they go and kill Denny?!? And Izzie quit?!? @#%!#$^#!#%$!@#$%!!! Sunday night's episode was so tense (and the best damn episode ever, psycho Izzie scares me!) I kinda felt like the finale was a little anticlimatic. I'm bored with cliffhangers that focus on "who will the girl choose." I'm more interested with what's gonna happen with everyone else. What's gonna happen with Izzie? Where's Burke and Yang's relationship gonna go?
The Superbowl two-parter had a great cliffhanger with Meredith suddenly the one holding the bomb, the first part of the finale had a superb cliffhanger with Izzie cutting Denny's lifeline, I kinda felt like the actual cliffhanger was kinda lame. But, I still love the show cause the relationships are great and the writing is good. Can't wait till next year!

ABC has announced they're moving Grey's Anatomy to Thursday nights where it will compete with CSI, as well as producing a large number of new pilots.
Full story @ CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/16/new.season.ap/index.html)
I'm not happy about this. On Sunday night some of my friends come over and we have a weekly TV night before the week starts. Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Family Guy, American Dad, Adult Swim. It's a tradition! It was bad enough when they moved "Arrested Development" and gave us the half-hour crapfest that is "War at Home". Now they're breaking up the night even more! I know that the rest of their schedule isn't as strong (with the exceptions of Lost and Boston Legal), but ABC's Sunday lineup wins the ratings every week. Why fix somethin that ain't broke? Just fix the rest of the damn week!

I am SO mad about them moving to Thursday! For me, Sunday *IS* my TV night and everything leads up to GA!!!
The finale was great, I was on the edge of my seat...I wanted to shake Yang and Izzie-how nutso did she get at the end???? I LOVE this show...I haven't been this hooked since ER first came out.
Interesting connection, the girl who played Camille's white best friend is the chick who played Anthony Edwards daughter on ER back in the day. And who didn't adore Loretta Devine putting Richard in his place!?!?!?
Queen Mae

IMO Loretta Devine was the best thing about the finale.
This show is just too over the top for me. The first season was about Meredith trying to balance her life with her medical career and this season it's all about having sex in the hospital. McWhiney (Meredith) and Mc******* hold know interest for me. Oh no!! Your married ex-boyfriend doesn't want you!! Your world is over!!! Never mind the fact that your mother is dying - do you even remember that you have a mother Meredith? Sometimes I think she totally forgets.
Meredith and her relationship with her mother are interesting. Meredith and her relationship with the chief are interesting. I even find the George/Callie/rest of the family dynamimc to be interesting. But everything else is as overly dramatic as All My Children.

....and yet it's captivating as all hell.
Say what you all will, nitpick as you'd like....there aren't a lot of shows that hold my attention like this. Y'know. Body forward, edge of seat, incredibly involving television.
Great stuff. Certainly more over the top than it's beginnings, and I've yet to watch all of season two, but my god is it still good stuff.
Queen Mae

It's not edge of the seat to me, to me it's eye-rolling; but everyone has their preferences. If a show is going to be so outrageous I want to see unicorns.

The dog storyline?!?!?! All of them holding it together as he was put to sleep! How EVIL was that?! The hospital prom for the dying girl?! Talk about overly dramatic emotional manipulation. I love this show but I don't care for those tactics.

But.....
They're putting the dog down and my wife and I are bawling our frickin eyes out holding our cats in a death grip.
