Ok I am in. Rules look good, only thing I would adjust is create more than 5 bench positions. 14 players is awfully small, I'd up the roster to 20 total.

Also, I am don't really care if we have the flex WR/RB position or not. If people want it eliminated, I'd be fine with that.

Now I have to get my draft rankings set up :)

What do you need to know? Basically you follow ODJ's instructions and create a team in our league.

Once you do that, you can order all the players in your draft list, so that once ODJ turns on the draft, it will pick your team based on your preferences.

I see you've set the league for only one QB, rather than two. I like that, because it means we can have more teams. It's hard to have two starting QBs plus one on the bench.

I haven't messed with any of the player slots...I figured we can all discuss the various player slots and how many for each when we have the league filled. Feel free to tell your thoughts on that one just like Negs just did...

Remember..if we get 12 teams together..that takes a lot of the starters out...Like Negs says above, we have to account for the "pool" getting softer.

Yes, but think about it. If we have 12 teams, and every team takes 2 QBs (one to start, one to cover a bye week), that's still only 24 QB, out of 32 starting QBs in the league.

I don't like the flex WR/TE spot unless TEs have different scoring rules, since a WR will generally outgain a TE. I like having a specific TE slot. That way every team's on equal footing when it comes to that starting slot. A RB/WR flex would be better.

Signed up. My team is "The Umbrellas." I've never really done fantasy football before, but I'm doing another yahoo team with the guild I'm in in WoW, so I figured it'd be easy to look after both.

I concur. I think 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1K, 1 DEF, with a flex RB/WR for some added flavor, would be my ideal setup.

I still think 2 starting QBs per team is annoying. Then everyone needs 2 plus a backup for bye weeks, and at the rate QBs get injured someone's stuck with a crap backup in their starting lineup (and usually it's the week they're playing the team with LT on it, so kiss that game bye-bye).

Raps was talking about a thread for the last NFL season where we all made our weekly picks each week for all the games...You know...We put the lineup of games for the next week of NFL...

Everyone chooses their picks for every game until Sunday rolls around and we see how many people got their picks right. We tally up the people's winners/losing picks and we see who has the best score percentage by the end of the NFL season.

It's more about bragging rights (or luck depending on how you look at it) in NFL knowledge...I didn't give anything away to the winner last year because it was a new thing for Mania...This year, I may go get something and give a prize to the winner just for kicks.

You know, Yahoo also does a Pick 'em league (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem). Adam did try doing that last year but I kept forgetting to put my picks in. But if we all signed up, and created a thread to remind each other to do picks, and used the thread to update standings, maybe it would work better this year. It would certainly save a lot of math.

Of course, I'm assuming everyone who wants to participate has a yahoo ID. But if they're in for fantasy football, they should already have one. Whatever. I just thought I'd throw out the idea.
