... I just got back from it tonight. What made it so cool? The theme was MOVIES.
It started with the "Star Wars" stamps used on the response envelopes. The wedding was pretty traditional. But at the reception, the first thing you find is your table placement card, complete with movie poster on back. (I was at the "TERMINATOR" table, of course.)
The DJ played famous movie themes all through dinner, before the dancing started. The bridal party entered to the 20th Century Fox theme and then the final celebration theme from "Star Wars: A New Hope."
Coolest of all was the lovely ice sculpture before the bridal table: the bride and groom's names complete with his-and-her Transformer logos above each name. :lol:
It might sound a little corny, but the tables were also decorated with very elegant flower and candle arrangements, so it was a very classy kind of shindig, with an extra bit of fun for movie buffs.
