Ok, so I was looking on IMDB at various Halloween related stuff, and what picture do they have at the top of the page for the original Halloween but a pic of a Halloween box set! I just about wet myself. I did some mad searches over tons of sites, but it appears that it's only being released in the UK (damn Brits!). Has anyone else heard anything about this, or if there's going to be a US release? I must know!

I wouldn't be surprised if they released it here in the states in the near future. I would have thought they released in before Zombie's Halloween hits theaters this weekend but I won't be shocked to see it as a holiday item in North American stores for the Christmas season.

What's the price tag, KV?

I never found the other Halloweens that great....They were okay, but I am not sure if I would buy the box set....Unless it was really cheap. I liked the first and second one but after that it seemed to have flew past me....

Here's the link to Amazon UK's page on the set.

Halloween: The Complete Collection (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Halloween-Complete-Collection-Eight-Disc/dp/B0002MGZA0)

Looks like it's running at 90 pounds, quid, whatever (I don't have that little symbol on my computer), so that's what, about $180?

Obviously I liked the original the best since I'm wearing my Carpenter Fanboy cap on....hold on a second while I take that off...

Alright, now that's better.

I liked 1, 2, 4, 5...I consider only the original 2 films with Laurie Strode on the same night to be "Cannon" but 4 & 5 featuring Danielle Harris has grown on me over the years. Over time, I've realized that those two movies are sinister/horrorific just by seeing what the directors did in them. I mean, having Myers chase a little girl around in the style that happened in 4 and 5 wouldn't be done in the same way these days in Hollywood. The imagery is absolutely horrible to even think about what with predators out there in real life the last two decades.

I don't mind H20 ...ie I don't hate it but I feel while it's a good story which links so well to 1&2, the studio tried too hard to make H20 into a normal late 90's teen horror flick...ala I Know What You Did Last Summer & Scream...It feels like a Kevin Williamson movie too much for my tastes.

Looks like we won't be getting a box set stateside any time soon. I got an email from a woman at Anchor Bay today, saying that unfortunately, Anchor Bay only owns the rights to 1, 4 and 5. Who knows who owns the rights to the others, so it looks like unless Anchor Bay ponies up some dough, this will never happen.
