Being a periodically updated list of interesting crap floating around on the web.

To get the list started:

SlamWife and l listened to this over and over the other night:

SlamLINK: A piano piece based on, well... you'll see. Friggin' genius. (http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=14197)

Seen Penn & Teller's show, "Bullshit"? What's the matter, don't have Showtime? Don't worry, nobody else does either. Thank god for the internet.

SlamLINK: The "Bullshit" episode about trying to take the Bible literally (Senormac, you're gonna love this) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyc-RR9po7M&search=penn%20teller)

Relive your days of misspent youth. Only this time, NO QUARTERS.

SlamLINK: Free online versions of classic 80s videogames (http://www.1980-games.com/us/)
Note: you will need Java for this to work.

Enjoy!

23 looky-looks and no replies make Slam not want to post any more links.

I'm at work right now and am a little leery about opening anything put up on a messageboard due to possible content. I saw someone get bit by the NSFW gremlin earlier today on another board and don't want to risk it.

Slammy, I've missed you so (not that I'm going all Brokeback Mountain or anything). The game site is truly a wonder to behold. Plus they have a buttload of the old NES games.

I bought a cd off of ebay that had virtually all the Atari 2600 games, ColecoVision games, and NES games on it. It's like the greatest thing ever!

Fuck you, Mouthwash Man. Nobody picks on Slammy but me...and maybe Daforce. But you....no fucking way.

Links of genius, Slammy. Links of genius. The only thing better would be links of sausage with some maple syrup.

That Penn & Teller show was pretty damn good. I've always liked those guys and I'd heard of the show before, but had only gave it a halfassed chance one time, and hadn't stuck with it long enough to be impressed. Too bad I don't have Showtime anymore.

Thanks, Slammy!

You're still one attention needy buttmunch, Slamshut.

I didn't get that either, but maybe Mouthwash Man had a different name before. Oh well.
Still, MM, calling Slammy fat and balding would just be too...personal and mean. And too much like your mom.

Who says I don't regularly french kiss Randy Jackson?

Jakey, I think you just stumbled onto something. Using the term MM made me think of Musicman958432890480432u984032 or whatever the hell his name was. The level of grammar and coherency of thought matches.

Wasn't he also x3bringiton? Something about forgetting his password caused him to re-register. Sometimes, I miss him. Sometimes.
Mostly those thoughts come out at night.
Mostly.

Actually Jakehole, X3 brington probably got locked out of his password those years ago because his username was changed while he was offline and it was changed multiple times to pile onto his vocabulary skills. We caught on later that with that crappy UBB board software that it can cause log-in issues. He was long locked out by the time we knew about it.

Music man is a good call though...I'll go do some searches in the batcave in a bit if I don't pass out first.

Great ... I just now figured out "NWS" = Not work safe.

Good thing my 12-year-old was too busy playing Xbox to notice.

That song reminds me of the ad Bill posted on the old board, using a similarly themed disco song to sell the virtues of understanding English ... wish I could find it.

I think I should check this board more often after all - I nearly may have missed this one. I hope the link stays up for a long time.

At least I'm finally convinced that I need to buy the "Bullshit" DVDs.

Thanks for the link, Bok.

Here's a few more, for your viewing pleasure:

First, how to peel a potato...

...demonstrated by INSANE JAPANESE PEOPLE.[TOTALLY WORK SAFE] (http://www.zonalibre.org/blog/roge/archives/090899.html)

Second, a scene from "The Little Mermaid"...

...but different. [NOT WORK SAFE] (http://www.brown.edu/Students/Out_of_Bounds/pms/OOB%20-%20LittleMermaid.wmv)

Third, a bunch of Japanese guys hanging out and having fun.

I like this one because I like to imagine the potato cooks going into the next room and doing this immediately after the first video in this post. [NOT WORK SAFE; I mean, any naughty bits are blurred out, but it's not what you want the boss to see you looking at] (http://www.thatvideosite.com/view/1694.html)

Japanese ingenuity in action. They're gonna be running the whole show someday, mark my word!Funny that the Japanese would come up with something like that, because hardly anyone there seems to eat potatoes. The only restaurant in Japan where I've ever seen potatoes is McDonald's.

BTW, the third link is so work-unsafe that it was filtered out here.

I was kinda sorta joking. It's a foregone conclusion East Asia in general, especially Japan will be the centre of world power in a couple of generations.

Especially when they start building Transformers!
