I was cleaning and organizing last night, and found photos I haven't put in a scrap book yet. Many of them were of my time in Honduras, most notably when I visited that Mayan city being excavated in the town of Comyagua. I remember keeping an online commentary of things I saw during that weekend.
Anyhow, one part I remember talking about, was this large courtyard area toward the back of the "official" part of town. I was the only one in the area or even nearby. It was me, the jungle and all the stone structures. And I remember a feeling passing over me. Nothing malevolent, or anything like that. Just the feeling of something ancient. And I felt very out of place at that moment.
Well, I had almost forgotten about that. But I found the package in which those photos had been contained. In most of them from the courtyard area where I got that feeling, there was much of what ghost hunters call "orbs", these balls of light that can show up on still photography and video.
Didn't notice that before. But it's pretty frickin' weird. And very cool.
