? Out of no where yesterday I see this commercial for the first time and this thing releases on Friday?

Talk about no marketing budget...very odd.

I tried to look it up on the web (http://www.dragon-wars.com/), apparently the site owner didn't buy much bandwidth.

Hell yes, it is! A movie made in Korea (in English however) about giant dragons, snakes, and other monsters with a semi-decent budget? I am so there!

I'm just hoping I get to see it in a theater.

I am with you, Kaeos. I JUST saw this previews two days ago with, "Opening This Friday!!" ....:headscratch: .....huh? You know there is a good chance a movie is going to bomb when you do not even hear about it untill the week of, you dig?

Besides all of this, I do have to admit it kinda, that is right, kinda looks interesting. I might check it out on DVD, but that would be it.

Yah, I thought at first when I saw the advertisments on here, that it was a straight to DVD release, or maybe some stupid Sci fi channel release, then I saw the trailer....mmmmmm i don't know, i may just go see this, it looks like it might surprise me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm down for this flick...just really shocked at timing and the lack of hype.
I doubt that it's lack of hype so much as lack of budget.

that poster says Summer 2007...summers over. That says volumes. this movie probably DID have some bit of advertizing back in March or April, 2007 but was pulled when the movie would be delayed.
so i think that the movie was delayed because of effects, and probably nobody knew when it would be coming out, which is why there was no advertizing now.

I read about this movie a long time ago, and there has been trailers on YouTube for at least a year?
To be honest, I never thought the film would ever make it over here.

I'm about a day late and a dollar short, I still havent seen The Host which I heard was excellent..

as for D-War, Joblo just posted a review... they gave it 1.5 stars out of 10:eek: :eek: :eek: review-dragon-wars (http://www.joblo.com/review-dragon-wars)

This movie was horrible....it was beyond that, it was something that a word hasn't been made for yet........UUUGGGHHHHH, thank god it was a afternoon showing so I didn't have to pay full price, cause then i would have been pissed. The CGI is blah, the acting is like a highschool play, and the story line is just like that review said it was, put together by a bunch of highschool D&D geeks.....DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE, DO NOT RENT, DO NOT BUY, DO NOT TOUCH...trust me, i just saved two hours of your life, from being wasted in a horrible way.:mad:

Hmmmm....that sounds exactly like what I was expecting. I guess it's not horrible in a fun and amusing way. You know "so bad its good".

lol, yah this was not bad in a good way at all. Im not joking when I state that this movie feels like it was strung together by a bunch of drugged up teenage boys, in their moms basement....ugghhh. It skipped around alot, and yahh, im just gonna stop, its not good, just take my word for it, one day if your bedridden, and you like pain, then i guess try watchin it, but other then that?.......advoid this movie like New Orleans street hooker!:eek:
