I thought her life already was one. :OhWell:
From IMDB.com-
Spears Set for Sitcom Role?
Britney Spears' acting career has been given a boost - she's among studio favorites to land a role opposite former Friends star Matthew Perry in a new sitcom. In a new NBC sitcom in development, Perry will play a businessman who finds a pretty girl and asks her to pretend to be his wife to better his career. Daily Variety columnist Liz Smith reports bosses at the NBC TV network like the idea of troubled Spears playing the part of the fake wife. A TV source tells Smith, "There's something about her that just connects with the audience."
Yeah. It's called a train wreck.

I'm sorry...the part calls for a "pretty girl," not skanky trailer trash ho-bag.
That would totally suck for Perry, too, coming off of working with so many very talented people on Studio 60 to working with Britney?! Eeesh.

Yeah, normally I'd say I'd watch Matthew Perry in anything, but with Britney?
:puke:
$20 says it's her publicist floating a trial balloon anonymously.

By the way, I saw the title of this thread and thought it said, "Britney is a sitcom?" to which I intended to reply, "HELL YES SHE IS!!!"

Thank god networks cancel shows like Arrested Development, Drive, Kitchen Confidential, Veronica Mars, ... to make plenty of room for quality shows like these two. I'm sticking to cable from hear on out.

Don't forget about Firefly.
There are plenty of other pretty girls to cast in this role. Paris Hilton I would rather see than her po dunk ass.
Matthew Perry better think twice about signing up for this. He has made some pretty good choices for his career thus far.
