Definitely missed. I usually don't cover Hollywood deaths at the main site but I had to put up the AP news for this one.

She played the part of Jane Moneypenny with grace and style.

Well, DarkJedi, saying that Maxwell played "Jane Moneypenny" is a bit more retconning than I'm comfortable with, but we agree that she had grace and style, both on-screen and in real life. I am saddened.

Sorry, not too familiar with the Bond universe. Her name isn't Jane? Or is there something else here.

Oh, I get it, her credits say Miss Moneypenny in the films.

The name "Jane" was invented for the recent series of books called "The Moneypenny Diaries." Previously, she spent 40 years without a first name, although Bond once called her "Penny."

Very sad news. Maxwell had a twinkle in her eye, yet a sadness in her heart that made Moneypenny such an endearing character. I could never think of any of the others as Moneypenny--Lois Maxwell was the one and only Moneypenny for me.
