Was there a reason for not including a Family Children's forum in the new boards?
Do we need one?
Does anybody care? :dunno:
Just curious really. Not trying to lobby for one.
I just happened to notice there wasn't one listed in here.

No need, el Trazo.

Is there a chance possibly for an "Inside Hollywood's Studios" sub-forum for Foreign Films? I noticed that there's a new thread under General Movies for Russian Cinema, and I was thinking of starting one for Japanese Cinema and French Cinema.

Is it possible to change the title of a thread once you've created it?

You are just trying to find a home for the Oompahs (which are awesome) vs Munchkins (which are lame) debate. Right?

Not exactly sure. I know I can change thread titles and according to the log, mods have changed them before. I'm not sure from a user standpoint though. Answer his question, users.

I tested it here, since I have no moderator powers here. It is possible, KingVoyeur.
You have to clic on the "Edit" button twice. The first click on the "Edit" button lead you to the "quick edit" screen. On that screen, click on the "Edit" button a second time, it will lead you to another edit screen that will give you the option to change the title.
On the first edit screen, you can also click on the "Go Advanced" button. It will also lead you to the more options edit screen.

I tried that, but it only changed the title of my post in the thread, not the actual thread name itself. Hehe, while I have your attention, any chance of a forum under the General Movies heading for foreign films? You know, threads separated into Japan, UK, Russia, German, etc.

To change the title of the thread, you have to edit the first post of the thread, not one of the posts inside the thread. And it can be done only if you are the poster of this first post.
Your second question is for the boss himself, I'm just a moderator here.

I created the thread "Reactions to Crash as Best Pic" but I meant to say "Critics' reactions to Crash as Best Pic." When I tried to change the title through the first post, which was mine, it didn't work."

Ok... strange, because it worked for me in this forum. Euhhh... don't know what else to suggest.

From the tests I did, it seems that it can be done only for a short period of time after you posted the message. After a while, it doesn't work anymore.

It's all good, thanks for trying.

Monic, it may be because you're a mod though. Even if it's you're not mod of the forum, that maybe a accessible permission between user groups.
I'd like to see if a user(not a mod) can check his/her ends to see if thread titles can be changed.

But I could do it only for a short while after I posted the thread. Then, I doubt it's a moderator permission.
But indeed, if a user can try it, we would know for sure.
