OK dudes, get your thinking caps on. I have Quicktime (not Pro) and I was wondering does anybody know how to rotate a video clip so that I can watch it the right way up INSTEAD OF FUCKING SIDEWAYS!
Not for my benefit you understand, but the sooner this gets sorted, the sooner I post videos of Arabian belly dancing........
I think you're going to need Pro.

Try this M. It's from a Quick Time help site. N
Go to the 'movie' menu and down to 'get movie properties'
select 'video track' on the left side of the pop up menu that appears
then on select 'size' on the right hand side of that menu
you can then rotate, adjust size etc. with the buttons on the bottom of that menu and preview in the main window
in the 'file' menu select 'export' and choose the file format, codec etc that you want.

I can't get access to that menu without Pro N. I'm just going to have to do it at my friends house I think. But how fucking retarded is this? Not being able to rotate a bloody video clip?

Are you starting to notice Steve Jobs' remarkable resemblance to Bill Gates?

Yes. I know. Charging me $30 to rotate a video clip on MY mobile phone. A movie file that *I* own the rights to. It's a fucking scandal.

isnt Quicktime Pro only like $20 to $40 bucks?
the only drawback is that I was warned that if I upgraded my player I would lose my pro status... I'm still using v.10 I think.

Oh I know it's only a fistful of dollars but that's not the point. If I'm being charged for it then I'm sorry I'm off to go get an illegal download. Steve Jobs has enough of my money already.

Wait... the file's on your phone?
Can't you just turn the phone sideways? I mean, I wouldn't want to sit around with my laptop on its side or something, but a phone's a phone.

Hahahahahaha, there's no problem rotating the file on my phone or even turning it sideways if need be but because I filmed certain things "up and down" (like a portrait) instead of "side to side" (like a landscape) when I upload them to my PC they stay stuck like that. No worries though, I have my IT guru on the case.
Oh and Omi, they are mp4 files.

New IT question:
I just signed on with AIM.
The emotis there are real scary looking. Kinda Tim Burton-esque.. Clown scary... George Romero scary.
Is there a way to change them or download a 'kinder' package?
