It seems that Bond themed fancy dress parties are becoming quite popular in the UK. I might have to throw one !!!

Obviously, alongside the tux and Walther approach as the man himself, one could :

- Get a skull cap, black up (if required), and put a pair of nail clippers up your suit sleeve to go as Tee-Hee from LALD.

- Shave head, acquire Chairman - Mao suit, go as YOLT Blofield.

- As above, without shaved head, go as Dr. No.

- Cover yourself in stuffed toy cat's and claim to be Pussy Galore.

- Do nothing at all.... except paint your right index finger gold!

Any other ideas ????

I've been to a few Bond costume parties. I wore a sari to one (it was pink, so I was Magda; Octopussy wears light blue).

For women, there's a variety of gowns and cat suits. Jinx's aubergine leather cat suit is terrific. Cigar girl has a red one. There's bathing suits, scuba diving suits, and ski wear, or the miner's jumpsuit from AVTAK. I've worn the gold Pussy Galore vest and black velvet pants, and at that party, a very clever woman wore a bed sheet and a neck ribbon and went as Tanya.

Most men choose tux, but I was at a party with two different men dressed as Tee Hee, and a man with blood on his shoulder and a sling, dressed as Kerim Bey. His wife was one of the gypsy girls.

The only limit is imagination. It helps to have freeze frame and zoom on your DVD player!

Bonjour mes amies! It's new year and already I'm exciting about Quantum Solace. My suggestion:

Riding Pants, A Whip, Knee High Boots - Jenny Flex.
