the film is about a lonely boy who discovers a mysterious egg that hatches a sea creature of Scottish legend. it is an adaptation of Dick King-Smith's children's novel.
i've seen it's trailer, it's a movie for the whole family.

I've not seen the trailer, but I've seen the moronic "Please silence your cell-phones" tie-in brought to you exclusively by "The Water Horse", with scenes from the movie, and it looks like a typical family flick replete with animals knocking over dishes of food at a very hoity-toity dinner affair, and that's enough for me. I hope the families enjoy it.

It looks cute. I liked some of the riffs on Nessie lore that popped up in the trailer.

I started watching this to see if it's something my daughter might like. She doesn't like 'scary' things, so I'm checking it out first. I'm only 10 minutes or so in, but I do quite like it so far.
