I know.
That's TWO movie titles, not one. But somehow for me, they balance each other out in a weird ying-yang perspective.
Redbelt (http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/redbelt/) is a fight movie with brains from the master writer/director David Mamet. And I don't know why, but every time I see Ricky Jay on the screen, I cannot help but brace myself for a con somewhere. Either by plot, or by character.
The Hammer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/thehammer/) is a fight movie with laughs delivered in an attitude of not caring to try.
And I'm keen to this one since the opening lines of the synopsis sort of spoke to me:
"Jerry Ferro’s 40th birthday has brought his life into sharp relief and it’s not a pretty picture..." My own 40th is coming up in a couple of months, and the tone of the film,
if it's anything like the trailer, matched me in mood and attitude of the world around me. I MUST see this one. Maybe it'll be funny enough to shove aside the sense of
ominous foreboding on turning 40, if for a little while. :o
