Con-goer's lament...

Weeell, fuck, y'all. Planned on going to the Highlander con in Leeds this year. But circumstances have conspired against.

Boo.

HOWEVER...I DO plan on going to a Firefly con in England towards the end of this year. I also plan on attending Gaelcon, Ireland's biggest game convention.

So, I'll travel and get my geek on besides.

All is not lost.

I'm quite sad that I am going to miss the Dallas Comic Con in April, because Dwight Schulz (Howling Mad Murdock, Reg Barclay) is going to be there, and I would have loved to meet him.

I met Herbert (Boomer, BSG TOS) Jefferson two years ago at Dragoncon. I'm a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica. I love the new show, but still enjoy the original and Boomer was always one of my favorite characters.

He talked with me for a very long time about a wide range of topics. He loves American servicemembers and often spends time with them as part of his charity work.

Great guy.

Hope that Tom Desanto gets a chance to do his version of BSG after he does the Transformers film. Jefferson, along with many of the old school BSG cast should be in it.

Went to wizardworld philadelphia last year, and will probably go again to this year's. I ended up with tickets to the premiere screening of Batman Begins, and just enjoyed the atmosphere. I would've like to attended the con in new york this past weekend, but they had major overcrowding problems and closed sales. Oh well, maybe next year on that one.

Nathan Fillion isn't on the guest list, at least not yet. So far, We've Inara, Kaylie, Simon and Badger. But if he shows up, I'll deliver said hug.
