CBS axes reality show after 1 episode Thu Apr 10, 12:14 PM ET

NEW YORK - The secret talents of celebrities will remain hidden. CBS is axing its new reality show "Secret Talents of the Stars" after only one episode.

The first airing Wednesday had former "Star Trek" actor George Takei singing "On the Road Again." Only 4.6 million people tuned in — and thousands tuned away as the hour continued.
(only 4.6 million???)

The reality show also had Clint Black doing standup comedy and Mya tap-dancing. Danny Bonaduce is among the celebrities whose secret talents will be kept to himself.

CBS officials say news programming is expected as a temporary replacement.

Danny's hidden talent is putting up with the stage-mom equivalent of a bridezilla.

I have coworkers that listen to one radio talk show after another, all day long. UGGH.

Luckily I have my own office, but their area is close to mine, so once in awhile, I have to hear that cacaphonic sound of breaking glass dragged over a pebbly driveway aka Danny Bonaduce raping my eardrums!

As far as his hidden talent....There's actually a couple pics of it online, and a THIMBLE would be too roomy for it. As if the general sight of him alone isn't enough to make one :puke:

Wow.... I am utterly amazed this didn't get picked up for a full season. It's reality. It's dreck. It's ratings gold. I can't believe that something other than quality programming got cancelled.

The Brown Eye is getting as bad as Fox. Oh, well. Far be it for me to complain because another pointless reality show got a huge shit taken on it.

I'll bet they're not feeling so smart for canceling that Jericho show most everybody liked right now.

Gee. Wonder why?

My wife & I actually watched this show. We were bored.
From beginning to end, it was clearly a hack job, with faux fans in the audience,
and seriously lame judging, and any program that dared to feature Sulu singing
on live TV needed to be hobbled Kathy Bates style.
They succeeded in showing a far worse voting system than American Idol's,
and the results by the end of the show were laughably bad, as it made no sense.
You voted after the end of each performance, BEFORE you could compare any
of them. So that, if you gave a first performance high marks, then wanted to change
your vote after the last one was found better, you couldn't go back, leaving the
best performer of the night to be eliminated. What a super-sucky show.
When I learned it was axed, I laughed. It was terrible television. Derivitive to a
severe fault.

I am wondering that show has good very good number of viewers.. 4.6 million is just an extra ordinary achievement..
