That rocked hard, Phil, especially Papa Thrace! Ha!
Felt like a filler episode to me . . . no Baltar! :D
BTW, anyone else notice this: When the Cylon ships deactivated their FTL drives and turned on one another, did anyone else notice the stars? It was the first shot when they came out of "hyperspace" or whatever the hell it's called.
It was the constellation Orion! Boys and girls, that means they're close to Earth, astronomically speaking.
37" HD widescreen comes in handy! :D

Indeed. Must go take a second look right now. BTW - Check out the ORION Nebula. Sure looks like the IONIAN Nebula. N

I agree. It felt like total filler. First of all, in last week's coming attractions, we ALL saw the shot of Tori holding Nicky. So we knew something like that was coming. When I saw the clip, at first I thought that Tori's programming kicked in and she had a "secure the hybrid" command.
But, although it didn't turn out like that, as soon as she followed Cally I knew Cally was dead. There was no way in hell that Tori could let Cally live after finding out that Cally knew everything. What surprised me was that Tori had the compassion to save Nicky and not just kill him too.
Of course, my husband thinks that it wasn't compassion that motivated her to save Nicky, but the fact that she wants the Chief for herself. At any rate, she had to let Cally die for self-preservation's sake.
On the other hand, the scene in which the Cylon base stars attack each other was AWESOME and call me stupid, but I didn't see it coming. I believed What's-his-nose.

We got more cylon-on-cylon war. We got Tory (or Tori) going all "new experience" on us, and yet the Chief doesn't want to change. Nor does Tigh. Frankly, I don't think Anders does as well. His likely thoughts that Kara is also a Cylon might have something to do with that, but even if he didn't think she was a Cylon, I'm reasonably comfortable thinking that he'd have still volunteered. And Kara's certainly not any more stable now that she's out looking for Earth.
I think this episode gave us a lot, and set some huge events in motion.

the 6's and 7's are attempting to unbox Lucy Lawless's cylon model (the 8's) is that correct?
its the 3's and 4's that are starting the civil war... correct?
sometimes i lose track of their Cylon numbers.
did you notice that "Look" that Tom Zarrick gave Apollo when he was sitting next to Roslin?? gets me thinking that he might be Johnny-Cylon #5

I'm seriously starting to lean toward Doc Coddle as number 5. Other than Baltar, he's the only human Cylon Diana's been up close and personal with (outside the med tent on New Caprica.) She implied some nasty things in that encounter. Then she apologizes during her vision of the final 5.
Anybody notice Moore's salute to Star Trek in 4.3 ?? Weapons locker 1701D N:popcorn:

#1 - I actually had the thought that it might be Doc Coddle, and I agree, it would be FABULOUS if it was him. Think about it - he's had access to the Hybrid, and Roslin, and Adama, and...well, shoot - EVERYONE. He's in a great positiion
#2 - I must be a complete moron for missing the Star Trek reference! Thanks for pointing that out!

I just love how we've journeyed from Cylon vs. Humans, and now we're seeing civil wars develop on both sides.
I'm still up in the air about who's the fifth Cylon. The Doc could be a good candidate, Nos, but I always thought that Deanna was apologizing to Sol Tigh in that scene. She did order his eye plucked out, after all.

I am completely convinced that the creators of Battlestar love torture Cally. Sure, pretty much every character on the show has gone though some pretty crappy stuff, but I think she's gotten a ton of shit, capped off with the final events of this episode.
Poor Cally. We'll miss you. :(

Could just be a flashback, since it looks like Adama and the Chief are talking about her.
Or...
Cally is the fifth cylon and is gonna wake up on a Cylon ship...

That would be a total mind-frak for her. I love it.

each of the Cylon models posseses one Base Star correct, so are there Base Star's for the Chief and Col. Tigh and the others? Do they (the final five) have their own Ressurection machine? Do they have an entire hidden Cylon fleet?
what really happens when one of the final five die?

I don't think Cally can be the fifth Cylon. First of all, she was on Galactica with the others and didn't hear the music. Second, I thought skin jobs couldn't reproduce with each other, they needed a human. (Although now we have both male and female hybrids, so are Nicky and Hera the Adam and Eve of the new dominant race?) Third, she's named after my cat and my cat is not a Cylon. Although she is evil.

I like where you're going with the Nicky and Hera arc Negs. The way good and evil are lining up, the human and Cylon versions, Season 4 is the end reel of Armageddon ala Ron Moore. Human and Cylon would have to annihilate each other, or themselves before or shortly after arriving at Earth millenia ago in our history, to explain the loss of technology and the beginning of the hybrid world. That would mean ... we're ...
