Anyone out there besides me who just doesn't care about this? At all? Personally, I'm like Steinbrenner. Someone is going to get injured or, at the very least, a pitcher will end up with "dead arm" by August. It better not be Carlos Zambrano.

I didn't care about baseball in the Olympics and I don't care about this silliness. All I care about are the Cubs. And in the AL, the Mariners. If they want some kind of silly international tournament, let them use minor leaguers.

I know, it's all about greed. What isn't anymore?

May be your distaste for good baseball comes from watching the the Cubs and the M's for some many years. I think that it will be watched but, not live up the hype that it's gettin. By the way, Yanks over the Cubs in 5 in 06.

Miracle on Dirt!

Canada upsets USA in WBC

"Less than a day after narrowly beating a collection of amateurs from South Africa, the upstart Canadians built an eight-run lead behind the hitting heroics of Adam Stern and held on against the all-star Americans for an 8-6 victory Wednesday." From TSN (http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/news_story/?ID=157719&hubname=mlb)

Bring on the Mexicans, Ole, Ole, Ole!

Congratz to all you Crazy Canucks! Frankly, the way our "all-stars" behave in most sports these days, I'm glad to see them get their asses whooped by a bunch of upstart amateurs. This ain't the first time (see 2004 Summer Olympics) and it ain't gonna be the last. Good on ya!

Don't sweat it. My sources are telling me that an American team may win the superbowl this year.
