So, I'm reading about President Dingbat's press conference and didn't even make it through the lead before I was pissed off. He claims the Democratic congress is blocking his proposals to deal with rising gas prices and dragging its feet on measures to stimulate the economy.

Repectfully, Mr. President, you had a Republican Congress in office for at least four of your eight years in office, and you made no effort to offer a solution to the problem of rising fuel costs. Was that the Donkey's fault as well?

I see you are in favor of Sen. McCain's notion that the gas tax should be suspended for the summer driving season. Naturally, since that 18 or so cents on every gallon doesn't go to big oil companies why shouldn't we suspend it? Never mind the $5 billion (or is it trillion? the numbers are both so astronomically high that I have trouble distinguishing) national debt that you have managed to pile up since you took office in 2001, eliminate more taxes. I'm sure the American people won't mind that you squandered almost twice that in surplus money left by your predecessor when the Chinese come knocking on our door looking for repayment.

You've chided several calls from the American people to release a portion of our Strategic Petroleum Reserves, today claiming you don't think it would make a significant difference in the cost of oil. Bull shit! The true problem, President Dingbat, is that you are in fact a fucking jackoff!

Congress is dragging its feet on measures you've proposed to stimulate the economy? What measures? Last I checked you were just jumping on the bandwagon of what the Presidential Candidates were proposing. You wouldn't even admit the economy was in decay until a few months ago. Even today you wouldn't use the word "recession" when asked if a pending report would confirm we are in one. Newsflash, fuck head! The majority of polled individuals has agreed we're already in one. I ask, Mr. President, how the fuck did you sway 51 percent of registerd voters in this county that you aren't epically retarded in 2004?

Mark me, folks, it doesn't matter if you support the GOP or the Donkey in November. No matter who wins, I can't see things not getting at least a little better once Jan. 2009 rolls around. Yes, this is easily the most important election I've been eligible to vote in, but I have no choice but to believe no one can be as big of a queertard as this shit head.

I did not even watch it. Nothing he can say or do will change the fact that the rest of us are losing our jobs, homes, avoiding doctors, dentist, buying things because the rise of gas has cut into our budgets so deep that we will be working until we die at our desk because we can't save for retirement.

Oh, and regarding the national debt, it's around $5 trillion.

$5 billion is about what the Iraq War is costing us every 12.5 days, when you calculate all the costs of the war (veterans' care, lost productivity, etc).

But I'm sure my grandchildren will thank you for a secure Middle East, Mr. President--assuming my son can afford to have them when he grows up.

I distinguish between the retarded and the mentally challenged. The mentally challenged, despite a cruel twist of fate that left them with certain handicaps, still manage to become caring, productive members of our society. The President, on the other hand, is neither caring nor productive and has none of those obstacles to overcome, hence "fucking retarded." :D

Is that quote from today's speech, is it from an old speech or is it made up? It's sad I should have to ask, but I can seriously see the man saying something that stupid. And to think they gave Dan Quayle shit for not being able to spell potato. I'll tell you, sometimes I think Quayle is a fucking genius compared to Dubya.

WHAT DESK? I lost my "DESK" (and $21 per hour) to somebody named Sanguiankiuah Qualiharasha LablahMiibeeblahar in India!!!!!!

and now I'm being "offered" Craigslist art-jobs like the one I got today:

Client Bob: "I have $100 for a total of 10 to 13 7"x7" black and white pencil drawings"

Alan: "...thats $10 each."

Bob: "right... I can pay you $110 if you finsh them all by tomorrow"

Alan: "what?"

Bob: "...by tomorrow."

Alan: "...no thanks!" :headscratch:

People want him out of office and I'm sure he wants to retire as well and go back to the private sector monetary games like Gore and Clinton.

Yes, I wanted to bang my head off the wall when the idea was proposed to repeal the gas tax. Ok, fine. Tax is gone. The price goes down a few cents. What is to stop the oil companies from jacking the price up more? Hey, we won't notice it. We've paying through the nose for so long as long as the price drops a bit all the chicken littles will be quiet for awhile.

The gas tax repeal is like a battered wife of an alcoholic. Codependent.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on what temporarily repealing the gas tax will accomplish. Sadly the GOP candidate and one of the Dem's (Hillary) endorse it. I so want to vote for her, but I'm beginning to see why 50 percent of Democrats are drawn to Obama.

Oh, and I started this thread to bash President Dingbat, so I'll insert my obligatory "fucking idiot" here.

President Bush, 28 percent and falling.

well apparantly there are STILL some people that have a soft spot for Bush... I was (depressingly) at my biblestudy last night I say depressingly because one of my married friends had called my house at 7pm to ask "are you coming to biblestudy?" unbeknownst to my married friend Mike, The Sharks were tied 1-1 against Dallas in Game Three in OT and so without telling him why, just said i'd be late. I could have gone without seeing the extra minutes in last nights game...Omicron.
anyway, near the end of the Biblestudy, which of course I had nothin' to contribute, again, I apparantly mouthed off at the entire Republican party saying that I was SO pissed off at the Republicans now, I was PRO-Obama...this is when it suddenly donned on me that at least three out of five people in our group were PRO-McCain supporters and wanted another 4 more years of President Dipshits policies... "oh God...the horrors".

Trevor informed me that my choice (Obama) was, in fact, a Muslim, to which I shot back "No he isnt!" and from there it all spiraled out of control.Trevor kept insisting that it wasnt Bush at all, it was all Congress that was causing the country into recession. uhh...

sigh... McCain supporters, my view is that McCain is a Bush-Puppet (so is Condoleza Rice but I kinda actually like her, I personally think Rice would strengthen the McCain ticket just a tad and prevent the race from being a complete blow-out)

anyway, perhaps by November, the Democrates will have finally picked a nominee and moved into the White house?

So my Biblestudy wants four more years of Bush again... YIPEEEE.... oh god.
and yes the Sharks lost AGAIN last night, fucking Stars couldnt even give them ONE stupid game.

First I'm a girl.
Second yes I was being ironic. Sorry for any confusion.

And just to point out I hate how gay marriage was the reason GWB won in the first place. How it impacts straight marriage and family values is beyond my moderate logic. Especially since marriage is not a Federal issue but a State issue or that's how it's supposed to be, you know the way the Founding Fathers wanted it to be. Let's just say Karl Rove is the best snake oil salesman in the history of the universe.

Considering the candidates out there I can't see voting for anyone else but Obama. Well considering what we had to deal with for the last 8 years how worse can it get? To each their own I guess.

On a side note. I was watching Modern Marvels a couple of days ago. So this is what I got out of it. They say from a pessimist's estimate we 15 years to go before oil runs out. The optimist is saying 50 years. They were also pointing out that Hydrogen is the way to go for fueling our vehicles and that it has been proven safe during several crash tests. So here's some hope for the future.

If the next president is either Hillary or Obama, I suggest they follow this course of action:

Begin troop drawdowns immediately but not in a precipitous fashion. Enough to let then know we're serious. When they get off their asses and get their shit together, we stop. Given an extended period of forging ahead, we might even put some back. They start dicking around again, we resume the withdrawals.

Seems fair to me. If they don't want to do shit about their own country, why should we? It's become clear at this point that we can't force a viable solution on them.

I can't believe how much BS this administration gets to dish out AND how the media actually makes an effort to get us to swallow it. And I can't believe how much money these clueless patricians are generating for themselves, at the nation's expense. They only thing they haven't been able to buy themselves was the 2005 World Series.

I seriously can't. This administration is going to make the corruption of the Grant Administration look like a tea party in the park.

Does anyone else remember how they kept notching up Homeland Security's Alert colors for weeks before the last presidential election? Do you think they'll do that again this year? I expect we'll see it again, probably starting in August, certainly September.

Seeing Barbara Bush's ugly face screaming "NO!" when the White Sox swept Houston is the only memory from this administration that I will treasure always.

As far as Iraq goes, America doesn't launch a huge operation like this without leaving a huge presence behind in the country, or at the very least, a base. They've already built a huge embassy, and now they're talking about expanding it further to house 200 extra troops. If they're telling us 200 troops, I'd bet it's closer to 300 or 400.
