For those of you who have a slight Tolkien obsession and also have small children - I just watched the Veggie Tales DVD "The Lord of The Beans." It is so funny. The guys who made this are obviously Ring fans - they even do a credible job of doing a soundtrack that sounds awfully like the real thing without violating copyright laws.
In a way it reminds me of the Family Guy Star Wars episode, in that these guys manage to do some great shot by shot moments, and they're obviously fans and not just doing this for the paycheck.
WARNING to anyone who gets offended by Christian scripture or doesn't want their kids to see it - after the movie is over, two of the characters come out and quote a Bible verse. So if this would bother you, either don't show it to your kids OR show them the whole movie and then shut it off as soon as the actual story ends.
