Checkers are green ..... Call the ball Nuggets! BSG Rumour control is firming up reports of (1) or a series of up to (3) made for TV movies to follow the Season 4 Finale. Like RAZOR they would be self contained stories about previous adventures of GALACTICA and crew.
Here's the link to the column in the Chicago Tribune. This writer is almost always right about BSG so my confidence is high.
So say we all. N :)

I don't know how to feel about this. They'd shoot in the summer, and air before the final 10 episodes of the "season." WTF?! We're also supposed to get a set of webisodes to link the first and second halves of S4?! I JUST WANT MY FUCKING EPISODES. "Seasons" do not have a 4 month break in between them. That would be TWO SEPARATE SEASONS.
I'm happy to get more BSG, but I feel like Sci-Fi is jerking its audience around, and I really can't understand why.
I give them props for running Dr. Who so closely behind the UK (it's like a week or two, right), but the only reason they're doing that, I'm sure, is because they're trying to minimize the number of fans who can't wait and get it via torrents.
If Sky or whomever runs BSG in the UK announced their intention to not have a stupid-long break in S4, you can bet that would have a serious negative impact on Sci-Fi's BSG ratings whenever they got around to showing their second half of S4.
I think I'm being incoherent. I woke up ready for a nap.

I wish they'd run the back half in the fall ... even November. But you can't fight the big studios. The webisode bridge doesn't help us in Canada. SPACE TV carries BSG up here and they don't stream them on the site. Only SciFi and Hulu have them so we have to wait for somebody to stick them on YouTube.
The good news ... based on the published shooting schedule, the final 10 episodes should be out of post production by the end of June. If SAG goes on strike - the Network Nitwits are going to go ape .. they'll have little to put up in the fall and shows like BSG earmarked for 2009 may get moved ahead. Cross your nuggets. :) N
