Thank you for being a good neighbor. I hope there is peace in your heart and mind this weekend.

As soon as I settle down from wanting to rip FedEx and the Alienware Corporation a new asshole, peace will be restored.
Aside from that, thanks Nostromo, and I actually look to Canada as a standard on peace and serenity. But yes, I pray peace in the hearts and minds of people here as well, because it's needed.
I'm heading out on a train (that I will not miss this time) towards San Diego just to decompress and spend some time with friends. Have a good weekend, all, I will try to check in.

Visiting Canada today, in fact, to visit my mother-in-law who is finally out of the hospital.
Memorial Day I will be watering my son and the marching band, who are playing in a parade/service in town.

A peaceful Memorial Day to all.
I think there is a new sentiment in the air. I attended an Obama rally here in Portland last weekend and a record 75,000 to 80,000 people gathered at our Waterfront Park to greet him and show their support.
What moved me was the peaceful, hopeful air. No screaming, no chanting, no disruption. Just - hope, for better days ahead and a unity for all.
I worked Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights.

We went to the lake. There was swimming and a boat ride and good food. My nephews ended up staying over, too, so we stayed outside until well after dark waiting for the fireflies to come out, looking at the stars and telling ghost stories. Then they "camped out" in front of the fireplace (without a fire). A good time was had by all.
