Indeed. The burning question over here DC is how you lucked out 3 days early?! Very unlike NBCUni / SciFi to give special dispensation off continent. N

Yowza! Lots happens. I don't know if it's stuff we were expecting to happen (or, more accurately, even relating to anything we were expecting), but nevertheless, lots happens and it was a really good episode. Still, with 12 episodes left, I still feel like I'm waiting for ...something (admittedly vagues) and it's not happening. Maybe I'm waiting for D'Anna to get unboxed, or for Tigh or Tyrol to yell out that they're Cylons, or to discover the truth of the Opera House...I dunno...something.

Okay, someone please riddle me this. Who is the father of Galactica 6's baby? Because, if canon is correct, it CANNOT be Tigh. Didn't they make a big deal about how Cylons cannot reproduce with each other? Very confused.

...and yet, Tyrol has a kid with Callie. The 5 are fundamentally different...somehow. Also, it was odd that Helo was able to father a child with Sharon. We don't know how any of this is working at this point, but I expect that we'll get some kind of answer on that at some point.

I recall RDM saying something about maybe "ignoring" the fact that Tyrol is a father and he's one of the final 5, but now that Tigh got Caprica 6 up the duff, I expect that it's become important somehow. Still, Hera is somehow more important than either of those two. Maybe because Helo is actually human. I don't know.

I thought the point was that Cylons couldn't reproduce with each other, so they needed a human. That was why they held Starbuck on Old Caprica with other human females. But Boomer and Tyrol both had human mates (Helo and Callie are human, we assume).

I don't know how Six got knocked up. The final 5 are different, we are told. Are they hybrids, and thus can reproduce with Cylons? That's possible, but it screws up my theory that Nicky and Hera, as the only hybrids, are Earth's Adam and Eve.

Found an interesting blog with similar theories:The Science of BSG. (http://thescienceofbattlestargalactica.blogspot.com/)

Interesting theory, but something that's never been explored is exactly how are the Cylons like humans?
We know how they are different:

1. They are "grown"
2. They can download their consciousness into a replacement body
3. They are stronger than us
4. They have a somewhat different (possibly more advanced) technology.

Yet they still bleed and pass as human on nearly every medical test. So doesn't that make them entirely organic? How, exactly, are they machines? If they can get pregnant (or impregnate), then they have eggs, and, presumably, menstrual cycles, and can create sperm, as normal humans (we only know that for the males of the final 5; perhaps the males of the other models are sterile).

So...what does it mean to be a Cylon? What does it mean to be human?

Yeah, change "ar" to "are" but leave "menstural cycle" the way it is.

I thought he had edited to put in "sperm" rather than "Jakester's jumping jism."

Well ethically, I can't make Jakester appear smarter than he really is, but I'll correct an honest typo. :D

Oh, frak me, I transposed two characters! How is that NOT a typeo?
Oh wait. You're picking on me. Fair enough. Gods know I deserve it.

You call it "picking". I call it "foreplay".
