I listened to a lot of his records growing up and me and my friends would laugh until our middles hurt and tears came squirting out of our eyes.

That's the best tribute I can leave for you, George. Be at peace and thank you for the rubber abdominals.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday, a spokesman said. He was 71.

We just covered him on our news segment this Saturday. He was awarded the Mark Twain Award for American Humor by the Kennedy Center. They are set to do a big tribute performance for him when they give the award next month. This is sad.

He released 22 solo albums and three best-selling books. He starred in over 100 TV and movie roles, spanning 50 years. The guy was an idol of mine.

Rest in Peace George. And F*** them all sir.

Combined these two threads, although if anyone deserves more than one, it was the magnificent Carlin. A great comedian ... and a super "Mr. Conductor," who made listening to "Thomas the Tank Engine" 50 times in a row tolerable. He will truly be missed.
