Hey, thanks guys, it ended up being a lot of fun. BF took me to this new Italian restaurant for dinner, then we went over to a friend's house where they threw me my first surprise party! Unfortunately, I had to get up at like 6 am this morning so I couldn't stay out too late.

Got some good gifts, BF gave me the 3-disc The Seven Samurai Criterion Collection DVD, the Absolutely Fabulous: Absolutely Everything complete series DVD box set, as well as tickets to Dolly Parton and Kathy Griffin. I also got The Killing Joke graphic novel, the Zombie Survival Guide flashcard set by Max Brooks (author of the book of the same name and World War Z), and some other cool stuff from other friends. All in all it was a good birthday.

Unrelated to all that, I even got a small raise at work even though I've only been there 3 months!

I almost brought home a cat named Elvis last week (because my kid thinks that I need to get going on my Crazy Cat Lady Starter Kit). However, they wanted us to adopt both him and his brother, Sonny. I just really can't handle two more cats. The evil one is enough for now.
