I read somewhere that the organization the bad guys belong to will be called QUANTUM???
At least SPECTRE sounded cool and menacing- what the hell does QUANTUM supposed to signify? :headscratch:
Anyone take a guess as to what the letters mean??

Quantum is not an acronym. The title comes about from a story written in "For Your Eyes Only".

Well I read on IMDB and on EW that QUANTUM is the organization of the bad guys in the film.

I think you're actually both right. Yes, Quantum of Solace is a Fleming short story title, but I have also read more than one release indicating it is going to be the title of the organization Le Chiffre and Mr. White worked for in Casino Royale.
And thank Christ they aren't calling them Spectre. The whole point of rebooting a franchise, as I see it anyway, is so that you can start a new and do something you wouldn't ordinarilly have had the chance to do. What sense would it make to then go and do the same thing they did in the first six Bond films over again?

That said, I would rather like it if Q branded some of his gizmos with ACME!

Q is secretly Quantum who employed LeChiffe and Mr. White from Casino Royale...he's a double agent.
