View Full Version : X-Men: The Tournament

I am going to run a tournament to decide who the ultimate mutant is. First off, I will have X-Men/Generation X and all the alike against X-Men and The villians squaring off against each other.
There won't be any Onslaught, Apocalypse, Phoenix, X-Man included in this tournament since they are all too powerful. Magneto is reaching the limits. I will introduce the first 4 matches and you can vote on them. I will post this on several Comics and Marvel forums and it will come down to the finals where the winner of the X-Men faces the Winner of the Villians. Remember most powerful and not most popular.
1.) Wolverine v.s. Thunderbird
2.) Cyclops v.s. Spike (from X-Men Evolution)
3.) Cable v.s. Skin
4.) Iceman v.s. Blob (predicting he is a X-Man from the movies.)
Vote away and I will bring the next few matches up soon.

Good, we have our first participant. By the way here is a rundown on some of the X-Men matchups....
Wolverine v.s. Thunderbird.
Some of you may not know Thunderbird, but he was an early X-Man. Thunderbird was a mutant who possessed superhuman strength and endurance. His muscle tissue was three times as dense as that of a normal human being's and was distributed in such a way as to give Thunderbird massive shoulders, arms, and thighs. His skin was several times as dense as that of a normal human being's and included an additional layer of leathery epidermis. His lungs were oversized, and his respiratory system was developed in such a way as to allow him maximum wind and endurance with a minimum of oxygen intake. These features made Thunderbird a natural outdoor fighter and athlete. He could run at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour for extended periods. Thunderbird died before any of his natural abilities could be redefined through the training that Charles Xavier had planned for him.
We all know Wolverine's Powers
Cyclops v.s. Spyke:
Well actually I am not really confident on Spyke's powers but he shoots dagger type objects towards the enemies from his hand correct?????
We all know Cyclops powers
Cable v.s. Skin
Cable is a mutant whose physical attributes have been enhanced to superhuman levels. His principal mutant powers are his vast telepathic and telekinetic abilities. He can employ the latter to levitate objects and to create protective force shields. He must continually employ his telekinetic powers to prevent the techno-organic virus from affecting the rest of his body. His techno-organic left arm and shoulder possess even greater strength than his entirely organic ones. Cable's techno-organic right eye can see into the infrared portion of the spectrum.
Skin is a mutant who has between four and six feet of extra skin on his body. Skin has control over this extra skin, and can extend the skin to grapple objects. When relaxed, Skin's extra skin sags and gives him the appearance of a melted candle, but with concentration Skin can contract the extra skin and pass for a normal human.
Skin's extra skin also grants him some degree of resistance to physical injury. The skin is also highly resistant to punctures and tearing, but the tensile strength of this resistance has not been recorded.
When Skin falls unconscious, his skin starts to fall into a liquid state, and Angelo will appear to be melting. Why this phenomenon occurs has yet to be understood.
Iceman v.s. Blob
We all know Iceman's powers.
Blob has the ability to create a mono-directional gravity field beneath himself, rendering himself virtually immovable as long as he is in contact with the ground. Eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are not as resistant to injury as the rest of his body.

You know, I think you are laving out one of the most powerful mutants ever, and someone who would be great in the next movie-
Doug Ramsey, aka Cypher.
This incredible mutant had the astounding power to...um...talk to people. In any language. And understand them when they talked. Yeah, he was kind of the C-3PO of the New Mutants except lamer, which hardly seems possible.

1.)Psylocke vs. Marrow - Tough call imo, but I'd give it to Psylocke
2.)Colossus vs Morph - Colossus
3.)Havok vs. Chamber - Havok
4.)Bishop vs. Forge - Hmmm...another tough call, considering Forge's inventions that could be at his side, but I'll give it to Bishop.
5.)Jean Grey vs. Cannonball - Cannonball.
6.)Banshee vs. Angel - Banshee
7.)Pyro vs. Jubilee - Jubilee
8.)Beast vs. Strong Guy - Beast (he can do more to Strong Guy than just hit him)
Next...
1.) Storm vs. Dazzler - Storm
2.) Rogue vs. Kitty Pryde - Depends on what version your using, I'd tie it with just the Absorbtion power, but put it into her full power stats in the comics, and I'd give it to Rogue, even though Shadowcat could conceiveably stay intangible and not get hurt at all.
3.) Gambit vs. Maggot - Gambit all the way, give him his full strength powers and deffinently Gambit.
4.) Siyrn vs. Husk - Tough call, i think however Husk could make a skin that would be to tough for Siryn's scream, and might beable to win.
5.) Synch vs. Pennance - Pennance
6.) Warpath vs. Wildchild - Warpath
7.) M-Plate vs. Spyke - M-Plate
