That was Generation X, a telefilm based on the comic series of the same name. Generation X stars the younger generation of mutants and focussed on their training and education. The movie starred Jubilee, Monet, Skin, Mondo and two characters made for the film, Buff and Refrax. The latter two replaced Husk and Chamber, whose mutant power effects would be too expensive for TV. The school's headmasters, Banshee and Emma Frost were also present.
It was originally hoped that the film would spin off into a series, but that never happened. The movie was a huge failure and is regarded by most fans as an atrocity. Only two or three of the characters were represented anywhere close to their original personalities.
PS. Please turn off the caps. It's rude http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

I remember Generation X. It was almost as bad As the Nick Fury Agent of Sheild movie staring David Haselhoff. Now that was a bad movie. At least the people making marvel movies now have enough respect for the characters to actually portray them properly.
I haven't seen the Hulk yet but it looks good, I can't wait to see what other comic inspired movies we get to see next.

Heh... I enjoyed Generation X for the bastardization it was. It may've been a cheapo derivitive of one of Marvel's over-X-pansive 90s, but it was the closest thing in sight to a live-action X-film.

Mutant X is a bastardization. Generation X was just cheap. I do remember enjoying it but I haven't seen the movie since it first aired so my opinion of it may change upon second viewing.

I don't see how Mutant X could be a bastardization of anything...while it shares a title with a former X-Book, it is not based on it or any other existing stories and makes no claim that it is. While it IS a terrible show (just horrible...) I don't see how it could have bastardized any material, as it's not based on anything. They're just attempting to cash in on a name...
