He was my brother's favorite baseball player. The world of sports has lost a great asset. He is now in his field of dreams.

Damn is right. I'm not a Twins fan but I loved his playing style. He will be missed.

I weep, as Kirby Puckett was a part of a very special, if disappointing, moment in my life. He beat my Braves in that 1991 W.S, that I still believe is the greatest WS ever played. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. He was truly one of the greats.

And you can't possibly grow up in Minnesota without idolizing Kirby.

So sad. So, so sad. Half of the news tonight is dedicated to him. 30 minutes.

I still want to be Kirby Puckett when I grow up.
