I actually liked Aeon Flux. After a seemingly messy first half-hour, I thought it really came together well and dealt with what appeared to be a mess really well. In the end, it all made sense.

It was more than a "fun" movie. Frankly, I can't stand "fun" movies. There was actually something deep about AF and I'll be watching it many more times once I buy it on DVD.

I saw AF because there was previously known material that was actually pretty good. Plus it got decent reviews. Ultraviolet, on the other hand, is completely new material with only a somewhat able director, gives me the vibe that it's a crappy video game movie and stars the queen of crappy video game movies. Three strikes: you're out.

AF was an ok movie at best. If it had better writers and a different lead ,Theron's features aren't hard enough ala Claudia Black or the like, it could have been a great movie.
